Some restaurants chase trends. We stick with what works, and we have for decades. Our story begins in 1975, when Papa Rod and Mama Rod opened a pizza place because they could not find one they truly liked. Their standards were clear then and still matter now: real cheese that gets sliced at the Cellar, sauces cooked in small batches, and dough made fresh each day.
Veteran joint serving pasta, salads, sandwiches & pizzas, including its signature Godfather pie.

About – Rod’s Pizza Cellar
Once upon a time, in the land of Hot Springs, there was not a very good pizza to be found, so Papa Rod and Mama Rod opened Rod’s Pizza Cellar on July 4th, 1975.

Food and service is AMAZING!! We also had the wings and a salad but they looked so good we forgot to get a picture before we ate them! Lol I highly recommend you eating here!! Sure beats other pizza places around! The atmosphere is so wonderful. We really had a great time! ☺️

The best pizza any where. It was huge too. The waitress had a southern accent and remembered our order without writing it down!

Back to being the outstanding Rod’s Pizza Cellar under Kyle McCormick’s ownership/management. Food is delicious & service/staff is outstanding. From the sub sandwich to the Godfather & everything in between – you cannot go wrong at Rod’s. Highly recommend!

Food on the buffet was not good. Pizza was subpar with little flavor and there wasn’t any pizza with chicken. Some of the pizza was covered so thickly with cheese that I wasn’t able to tell what else was on it so I could confirm that there were no allergens on it. Atmosphere was decent and there was plenty of space.

We came in a Saturday at lunch. I had always heard good things, but I was disappointed when we got the buffet and it tasted like frozen pizza. It was really dry and lacking flavor. Variety was good, but the quality wasn’t there. It was a self serve situation so not much interaction outside of paying for our plate. The atmosphere is cute. It gives early 2000s pizza place vibes. It’s spacious and not cramp.

We happened to stumble along this pizza place after traveling to Hot Springs from Louisiana. The pizza is outstanding, very generous with the toppings, and the staff was friendly. We’ll definitely visit again.

The godfather was amazing! Carol, my waitress is the best… one of the nicest and sweetest lady’s I’ve met in Hot Springs. I will be back because of her.

The salad bar does not offer a lot if you are keto and there were two plates covering the slots that were not even stocked on the salad bar, the interior is dark and dated. The pizza crust tasted like cardboard and not much better for the sauce. Definitely not worth the 17.95 adult buffet price. That being said, if you have kids they have a variety of games to occupy them, and may find that that fun. The staff was friendly and timely when clearing tables.

This is a great pizza place in Hot Springs with a casual, laid back atmosphere. Our waitress was very attentive and hospitable. The salad bar had a great selection of salad and toppings. We did the meal for six and got a huge bowl of spaghetti, a thick crust pepperoni pizza with extremely good crust, and two bowls of buttery garlic bread. Would definitely come back here again!

Rod’s has been a favorite place for my family for many years. In fact I’ve bragged about the pizza being the best pizza I’ve ever had anywhere. I planned a vacation to Hot Springs so I could buy a godfather pizza to take back to Nashville for my coworkers and friends. Unfortunately I thought it would be best to buy this pizza the night before I drove back only to discover y’all close on Monday and Tuesdays! As disappointed as I am and all my friends will be, I didn’t get to eat there this visit. I’m leaving a 5 star rating bc I know it would have been amazing. I need you to still be open and successful next time I come so I can get my favorite pizza! To whoever owns this restaurant, I have a huge family and we meet in Hot Springs as a halfway point from our family in TX and our TN family, we look forward to eating here again!
