Cheese steak sandwich has got it going on.

Stopped in on a casual. Grabbed a few pints (Guinness) and being that I was in deep Pennsylvania I had to indulge in the beloved cheese steak sandwich that everyone in Pennsylvania knows they cannot go without. It exceeded expectations. Well done .

Grand location

Highly recommend the cheese steak. However be careful attending this location.

Honestly I was disappointed! Three o’clock on a Saturday, with reservations, for a bite to eat before a show at the Kirby Center.
First I was not expecting a limited pre event menu. Mu husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries, I had the ahi tuna sandwich with sweet potato fries. The cheeseburger was very small not much bigger than a McDonald’s burger, my husband said it was tasty. My ahi tuna sandwich was good, my sweet potato fries were over cooked. (Burnt edges).
The place is huge and was not crazy busy. Our waitress disappeared after giving us our meal, we had to flag down a nearby server to order a 2nd drink. He went to find our server then came back to tell us she would be over in a minute. Instead, he finally brought our drink. When it was time for the check, again our server no where in sight, the second server went to get our check and came back and said our server was busy on the other side of the restaurant, he could not pull up our check, so we waited. So we left there pretty disappointed.

BANGING food, great service, not taken over by TVs but can still catch a peak at your favorite sporting event. AND they had my favorite Happy Dad Hard Seltzer flavor! Thanks Rachel 🙂

You Need To Know? Arrived around 5 on a friday night & we were seated immediately. Our waitress was prompt & had us in, fed & out the door by 6:00. Very much appreciated. We had the steak tacos , diamond city salad , & a BBQ pulled jerk chicken flatbread . Food came out quick & was tasty & enjoyable. Rodanos is a must try if you are in or around downtown Wilkes Barre. This is a fairly new spot. It’s quite large, and has several big long tables so would be good for large parties of people. They have a pretty nice covered patio area outside as well with a fountain running along side. Overall a pleasing aesthetic and atmospheric vibe. The service was perfect adequate. The door was of quality ingredients and well proportioned. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms. There is a large bar area which seems beer-forward with many beer options and several signature cocktails to choose from. This is probably the nicest place to dine on the square in Wilks-Barre. Off street parking only, though.

Rodano’s was such a delightful dining experience. We arrived at 7 p.m. on a Friday night, and there was plenty of seating available. Our server told us that the light crowd was unusual, and was the result of two nearby events being cancelled.

Nevertheless, other food was delicious and definitely worth the visit. The Carolina BBQ burger was incredibly juicy, enveloped with melted pepper jack cheese and topped with bacon, Carolina BBQ sauce, and deep-fried onions on a pretzel roll. The fries were fresh, hot, and very tasty. A large pickle spear completed the dish.

The Diamond City salad was also wonderful, with fresh apples, pears, mandarin oranges, craisins, candied walnuts, and Swiss cheese served over mixed Greens with a Caribbean mango vinaigrette.

The restaurant also has a wide selection of beer and wine, and I would recommend the yard’s Philthy IPA, which was very smooth and not as bitter as most in that category.

The atmosphere was light, the service prompt, and our server was very kind and friendly. Although it probably flourishes during lunch hours, getting there early (between 6 and 7 p.m.) would probably be a wise choice.

A beautiful bar and restaurant in the center of Wilkes Barre. Spacious and easy to access. Louis and the waitress that seated us are amazing and the service was great. The food….AMAZING! We had the Cesar wrap, chicken quesadillas, and the Italian hoagie. The food was fresh and honestly really hate myself for not going there yet until today. Definitely a must try when in wilkes barre!
