Rocotto Grill in South Padre Island is absolutely amazing! It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch with an incredible beach view — literally right in front of the water. Crab cream cheese dips was great and the chips were even better. My drink was amazing . The ribey sandwich had cut up steak,lots of cheeses and with just enough onions and green peppers not to be overpowering. The lightly toasted bun that had just enough sauce to give it some extra flavor. Fries were good. Staff was amazing. It was great that they are right beside a beach access.

This is hands down the best food on the island. We would have missed it as it’s not on the main drag, but we found it while we were cruising down Gulf Boulevard. It’s on the beach, so nice view, restaurant is very cozy with beautiful decor, service was phenomenal, but the best part was the food. Extensive menu options – unique seafood items, tacos, Mexican dishes, sushi, and burgers just to name a few. I ordered the lobster spaghetti and it was very good. Highly recommend.

Very nice atmosphere and service. We are allowed to take the advantage of the last 10 minutes of the happy hour for ordering drinks at great price. The seafood rice is good to try. Recommended.

I ❤️ the food and atmosphere. Everything was delicious , I would recommend that you confirm the drink prices when ordering, I had ordered a drink thinking it would be a least less then it came out to be. Next time I will make sure. The sushi was very good. The Ribeye sandwich was good too.

We greeted by “Norman Bates”. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. We have tuna, spicy tuna rolls and an avocado shrimp dip. The tuna was prepared perfectly. The spicy tuna was made with love. The avocado shrimp was a delightful mix of avocado shrimp and the sauce. Now we have dessert left. 10 out of 10 will be back. The food was great. The food presentation was beautiful. The staff was friendly, always helpful and checking in with you.

I got mixed first impressions when I looked at the menu and they have a big variety of foods including sushi options, tacos and Peruvian food. I personally think and with previous experiences with those types of menus that you can get a very bad experience when choosing the wrong menu item. I ordered the ribeye tacos and my boyfriend the Alfredo pasta. I got impressed by the big portions and the good presentation of the food also it was very delicious. Margaritas were also good and I got them in happy hour $5

Best hidden gem on SPI all I can say is we will be back. I am amazed that this place is not packed. The food is simply delicious wonderful ambience. Highly recommend.
