PS- if you are gluten free they have lots of options for you here! Most of the wing flavors are celiac safe- so go crazy!
Theres a middle age guy there who really isn’t all too pleasant. I don’t expect sunshine and rainbows from customer service anywhere anymore, but he was even rude when he got the chance. I’ve had a couple of encounters with him and he’s consistently like this. Then they have tipping options starting at 15 percent.
I really enjoy the food, but I’m a man of principle which makes it hard for me to support a business like this. The customer service isn’t unacceptable, but it’s definitely enough to put a damper on enjoying my meal. There’s also a lady there that has been delightful in the encounters I’ve had with her.
I debated between 2 and 3 stars for this review, but the food really is quite good so despite the bad service, it does earn all 3 stars.
We arrived and started ordering at 8:28 PM, and he immediately tried to stop us from even sitting down to wait for our food, telling us we had to take it to go. We sat down anyway and watched staff bring food out to two other customers who were allowed to dine in without any issue.
We received our food shortly after, but then were told we had to leave because we “didn’t get there soon enough,” while those other customers were allowed to continue eating. Ryan then raised his voice at us while explaining that they could stay but we had to go, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.
On top of that, we watched them turn away at least 10 other customers because they wanted to close early. The whole experience felt unprofessional and unfair. Honestly, it explains why the restaurant always seems empty lately. Really disappointing experience.
We ordered two lunch specials, one with garlic pepper wings and the other with hot parmesan. We upgraded to get the parmesan fries on the side. The hot parmesan wings were great, with a great blend of flavors. I didn’t care for the garlic pepper by comparison. The parmesan fries are good, but not worth upgrading for. I really like the fry sauce they make in-house. The real winner is the quality of the chicken wings. I enjoyed my experience overall and will be back to visit.
The owner looked like Dean Norris from Breaking Bad, super outgoing and constantly checking on tables to make sure everyone was good… other reviews said he’s got problems, but after meeting him, I could see it if you’re acting like a Karen and probably deserved it.
so everything was cooked nice and crispy, the tots and fries are separated by paper and kept from getting soggy… nice touch there!
If we had any recommendations to make this place better… first is the Pepsi (at least Dr Pepper was available) and second I think lemon pepper is better as a dry rub than a sauce and holds the flavor better. The mild was pretty good but almost on the medium side.
We’ll definitely be coming back! I really want to try the scones!
