Whenever we are on a Jeep trip through the mountains, a stop in Silverton is an absolute must. We were recently traveling from Moab over to Telluride and made it a point to swing through town. I first visited this spot nine years ago, and it has remained my favorite place to stop ever since. After enjoying a wonderful lunch at Handlebars, we decided to top off the experience by heading over for a funnel cake.
Eating there always brings back fond memories of being a kid. The process is simple and nostalgic; you just walk up to the counter to place your order, and they call your name as soon as it’s ready. The funnel cakes were perfectly light and crispy, and while they offer many different flavors and toppings to choose from, I still prefer the original with just powdered sugar on top. It was delicious, cooked just right, and provided the perfect sweet finish to our day in Silverton. We will definitely keep coming back every time our travels bring us through Colorado.

Exactly what I came for. Ridiculously decadent yummmm… I tried to eat both, my wife helped with like 2 nibbles. I couldn’t… treat yourself and go here .

Incredible. From food to service. The funnel cake is phenomenal and the ice cream was surprisingly amazing. Also, the nicest people ever. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and even got my dog some water without me asking. Just so sweet. I’d give more stars if I could.

Saw this place online and it had such good ratings. It did not disappoint! We tried a funnel cake and the ice cream. They were delicious! We had a half strawberry cheesecake half pineapple upside down funnel cake with vanilla ice cream. All I can say is it’s a good thing I don’t live nearby because I would have to go A LOT! I regret that I didn’t have time to try the cherry limeade.

The aroma wafting out from the building will lure you in just to check it out. We tried the Chocolate Éclair Funnel Cake and the Huckleberry Ice Cream. What a great treat on a warm afternoon. It was very crowded the first time we walked by, but after the train departed, we were able to get right in. You can also put a thumbtack on the map where you are from. We chose to sit outside under the umbrellas so we could embrace the views of the mountains surrounding Silverton!

I went for Raspberry Cheesecake Funnel Cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It was. Insanely. Delicious. I would go back here every time I visited, without question!
