Rockton Bar is a log cabin, family run bar since 1970. We are located in the middle of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. We offer a full menu with daily specials. On Sundays May through the second week of October we serve BBQ Chicken that is cooked outside on our large charcoal grill. Rockton has all the seasons, because of our location we have snowmobile, horse, mountain bike, and hiking trails that come right through our parking lot. We also rent canoes and are UTV accessible. The motorcycles, car clubs and bikes enjoy riding through our hills and valleys, and Wildcat Mountain State Park is always a hit. The driftless area is well known for its hunting and fishing opportunities.

Cruising around on the bikes and needed to refuel the body. Found this just outside of LeFarge, WI. According to locals, big place for weekend chicken roasting event. They also have fish fry and prime rib events. Lunch of us was the chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. Food was good classic bar substance. Tasty and simple. My picture is a bit blurry. Would stop here again on my next ride.

I’ve been to this bar at least a dozen times over the years. They need more staff. The high school age girls they employ don’t know what they’re doing. I will say, the food has always been very mediocre here. We come for the naked curds and the convenience of not having to cook or clean after a long day. Anyway. My family of 5 was there on a Saturday at 7. Took them just about 30 min to come and take our order. Another 30 minutes for the appetizer to come out. We spent a total of two hours in there and all we ordered was burgers and curds. Our food came out at about 8:50. They didn’t refill our drinks, not even once! Worst experience we’ve had there by far, not sure what’s going on with the staff.

OUR GROUP HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE here. This restaurant literally wasted our 2 hours, which we could have devoted to more sightseeing as we came to this area of Wisconsin for fall leaf peeping.
I have no pictures of any food. We weren’t served our food. We had been waiting for more than 1 hour and 30 minutes and we saw other groups of people who came in after us GET SERVED FIRST!
When we started to complain about out food taking long, the servers seemed like they weren’t apologetic at all and were even inconsistent with their reasoning as to what was going on with our orders. First, they said they were being plated. Another one of us asked after 5 minutes when our food’s gonna come out – they said they hadn’t made it yet!! “As long as you are waiting, we will be serving it.” What kind of a statement is that?? They said it will take another 30mins before our food will come out. It has been almost 2 hours since we got in. AND WE ORDERED MOSTLY BURGERS. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COOK BURGERS??
Another patron noticed the stress our group was having and approached us, saying he felt bad for us. The restaurant said they were understaffed. That doesn’t explain why others who came in later than us got served first! The old lady over there was grumpy and didn’t feel bad we were already taking too long to be served.
We walked out unfed. We walked out at the same time as a group of 4 bikers who came in at the same time as us. They already finished their meal. What a horrible restaurant this is.
This was my worst ever restaurant experience in the USA. Maybe we were Asian and so they discriminated us? If you’re not white, save yourself the trouble and DON’T GO HERE!!!

Stopped on a Sunday for their chicken dinner. It was some of the best I have had. We didn’t get their until around 6pm so it had been in a warmer. The next time I go it will be earlier so I can get it hot off the grill. I had 1/2 + 1/4 chicken.

We did the Rockton Chicken Run on Sunday…we took our motorcycles and what a treat their specialty chicken was absolutely wonderful. The place is so cool and everyone was so relaxed and very nice. Give this place and their chicken run ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The lunch stop for the Wooden Nickel Fueled by Fire poker run 2019, what these people did when we got thier BLEW me away! Rain was coming in and some of the staff heard us coming and moved the tables from under the shelter so we could park the bikes under it. Absolutely outstanding group of people! And if your looking for a great way to spend a Sunday go for the chicken, its the best you will ever eat!!
