Stopped by to order food as my friend had seen this truck before and said online reviews were good. I am just telling of my experience. Also, I think this is JH or JL hibachi on delivery apps.
When I ordered, the cooks were sitting around. No business. I placed an order and a few minutes later, those cooking the food started. They cooked food for two online orders first. Those orders were done within 10 min. I waited 25 min for an order of rockstar fried rice and chicken teriyaki. I feel they purposely made me wait while the one person who took the order filled dozens of cups with a small amount of sauce.
Finally got the order. Took it to my friend’s house. All protein was I overcooked and dry. The vegetables that came with the chicken teriyaki were too raw tasting for my friends taste. We were very disappointed and would have been happier with panda express. This was a one-time experience for both of us. One of those times where we regret the purchase. This was truly an unappealing experience. I am sure the others that left comments were over exaggerating. One good thing, the rice was decent.
Also, in looking at the reviews and pictures, you get what the people are posting. Not what they advertise. Also, those cooking, I am certain we’re not the Asians pictured. Pretty sure they were not Asian.

If you’re in Mesa and haven’t tried Rockstar Hibachi, you’re seriously missing out. The food is incredible fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection right in front of you. But what really makes the experience special is Ozy, the guy behind the grill. Super friendly, funny, and clearly passionate about what he does. So I ordered from here through Uber Eats. First i was missing ten dollars worth of shrimp. Also they have a service fee of 11.90 that was added to my order after I ordered, I had no idea or I would not have ordered from them to begin with. I had purchased a buy one get one free teriyaki dinner with fried rice, which was an extra five dollars for each one.And then shrimp for each one, which was ten dollars. As I said before, I was missing the shrimp for half of the order.And you get six pieces of shrimp for ten dollars, not worth it.The chicken was hard and inedible, had to be thrown away.So basically, I got six pieces of shrimp and fried rice for 71.00 I did reach out to Uber, and I got somewhat of a Refund for my shrimp, not a full $10. But $8.80. So beware of this establishment, especially if you’re ordering it on Uber

I’d like for the owner to please reach out to me. The service was terrible, the girl working was not friendly and didn’t have a customer service attitude at all. Then me and my husband waited almost an hour for the food, get home and the salmon doesn’t have much flavor, the veggies are hard and the rice tastes like tap water. Not okay and I frequent this place A LOT and for two meals it’s $40. I didn’t complain when they didn’t give me my order of noodles once but this is completely unacceptable and I would like my meal compensated. I don’t want to have to find other ways to file complaints because I will if I’m not contacted.

Unfortunately this meal was a major letdown. The meat had a rubbery texture, and everything else on the plate, from the vegetables to the rice, was surprisingly unpleasant, and I’m genuinely not a picky eater. On top of that, the portion size was shockingly small for the price. Overall, I don’t recommend it.

we tried to order tonight, and the female owner or employee was very rude. she yelled, asking if we ordered when we tried to ask if they are open and we ordered a sushi roll, which was on the menu board , she yelled, they have no rolls. we left , I wanted to let the husband know that she was very rude.

Rockstar Hibachi in Mesa is hands down one of the best food truck experiences I’ve had. The food is legit fresh, hot, and full of that classic hibachi flavor you usually only get in a sit-down restaurant.
