Ordered to go and specifically ordered no onions. When I called to tell the them there are onions all over it and can’t eat it because I’m allergic, they basically said oh well. She said we have two people check it. Well, obviously not because it’s hard to miss the onions all over it.

Wow, was a little worried about ordering the Cuban black bean soup figuring it would be under flavored. It was not, it was absolutely perfect. I ordered a bowl with a side salad, which was also amazing and plenty of food for a 210 lbs man. We had a younger guy waiting our table and we were very happy with our service.

I’ve been going here for years. It’s one of my favorite places to get good food. They have nice variety, so no matter what you’re in the mood for, they’ll probably have it. I love the Terminator sub with fries. I also love the mushroom soup and thier burgers.

Such an adorable old fashioned place! We visited for lunch on a Sunday while visiting the area. Lots of options on the menu, food wasn’t that great ; probably a step up from bar food, was disappointed. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Overall atmosphere was great. Sidenote: Ranch is nasty.

The Black Cuban Bean soup was very good, as well as the Ruben sandwich (I shared the sandwich). The basket of fries was marginal; small potatoes with lots of tiny end pieces. There was room for improvement in the area of service. It wasn’t pleasant to observe how the wait staff treated other diners. We picked up facial expressions and an attitude of discontent when KM waited on specific customers. Moving on, the prices were reasonable. This location has a pleasant atmosphere and plenty of parking. It’s one of my favorite places to dine and is noted by the city of Akron (7 consecutive years) as one of the best casual places to go. Because wait staff is a variable, Rickne’s is still a sure bet.

Southwestern Salad did not come with pita bread (but it did have the tomatoes we asked to leave off.) The Baked Penne Pasta did not have cheese (see the photo from Door Dash and what I actually got). When we drove to the store to get this fixed, they said it was our fault for selecting marinara sauce instead of meat sauce. Note the other photo, marinara and no cheese are two separate options.
They (quite rudely) refused to remake it, blaming us for the mistake, but they did give us some grated cheese and extra sauce so we could bake it ourselves.
It takes a lot of screw ups to make our first order from a restaurant also the last,but they managed it.

Ordered the chicken wrap about 6 months ago and there was virtually no chicken in it. Fried nodules in it salad and sauce. I have never had this happen in the past, and have eaten at Rocknes since it had only one location. Don’t know what’s going on. Haven’t been back since.

The service was ok. My waitress looked like she had a long day and the service showed that. The French onion soup was terrible and the presentation looked like someone took a ball of cheese and dropped it in my soup. It wasn’t laid over the bowl like it’s supposed to. The customer at the table in front of me had hers made perfectly, so I’m not sure what happened there. I won’t return to this location though.

My mom and I stopped by Rockne’s for lunch. This was the first time we ever dined here. Before we venture to any new establishment, I typically read the Google reviews, as they always provide good insight from previous patrons.
Upon walking into the restaurant, the decor made me think of Cheers (the show from the 80s). There is beautiful wood paneling and neat memorabilia that fill the walls. The bathrooms are located right off the entryway and are very clean, by the way. We were promptly seated after our arrival. Our waitress was Sarah; she was quick to take our drink order and made our meal choices simple by making some suggestions. My mom and I started with a couple of side salads and an order of sauerkraut balls for an appetizer. We did not wait very long for this to arrive. The salads were massive and plentiful. I ordered balsamic dressing with mine, and Holy cow, was it amazing!! The sauerkraut balls were some of the best we’ve had. The honey mustard dressing was the perfect complement for them! Our main course arrived at great time, as we had just finished up with our appetizers. My mom ordered the Terminator sub, and I had the Jumbo Fajita Plate. Both dishes were well portioned. So much that we had lots of leftovers! My mom loved her sandwich and said it was not greasy and had great flavor. My fajitas were perfect! The chicken was very tender and came with amazing flavor, too. It was not salty, spicy, or bland – it was just right. Sarah came by quite often to check on us and replenish our beverages. We really liked talking to her and appreciated her kindness and patience. She is such a lovely gal!!
In all, we left extremely satisfied with this place and would highly recommend it. It’s a cool atmosphere that was very clean and tastefully decorated. I found the floors to be really unique! There is plenty of parking, too.
We can’t wait to come back!!
