At ROCKLANDS we use red oak and hickory – never gas or electricity – to cook our meat, fish, and poultry. We make all the food in-house using the freshest ingredients making tasty and clean food. This ROCKLANDS is known for the mural, lots of parking and seating, our Bourbon Club and killer baby-back ribs. We also host sports teams on the patio, and have doggie Yappy Hours in the summer. We have two electrical vehicle charging stations and a new and improved dining room upstairs that you can reserve for up to 55 people. With lots of seating, TV, HDMI capabilities and hot bar ready to go. This space is perfect for birthday parties, post-game shindigs or perfect for a work event.

Rocklands Barbeque & Grilling Company has some tasty BBQ! The meat was smoked well, tender, and full of flavor — easily some of the best in the area. The sides were just as good, and the atmosphere had a laid-back, friendly vibe that made the whole experience even better. Great spot for anyone craving authentic barbecue with a good energy. Highly recommend!

I have to agree with some of the comments below about the meat not being all that great. Despite the stacks of wood & smoke coming out the roof, the meat is missing smoke. And call me crazy but the sides aren’t good. The baked beans are too sweet & “saucy” (never thought I’d say that), the potato salad wasn’t seasoned, onion rings were soggy, red beans & rice didn’t have any flavor either. I don’t mind the prices because BBQ isn’t cheap (when done right – very labor intensive). But it’s a one & done for me.
On a more positive note, they had several sauces to choose from, and “help yourself” pickled onions, pickled jalapeños, a house hot sauce, and sliced pickles. The 3-meat platter with 2 sides was a good deal as well, for the DMV, at $16.99.

The place was Decorated very well, outside and inside. The Cashier was very friendly. Ordering was easy and they brought the food to the table very quickly. I tried the Belly Buster and the name is well deserved. The sauces were on the table and tasted so good. The Ribs, ¼ chicken, Italian sausage and Brisket were amazing. They offered inside and outside seating.

This is my 2nd try! We order chicken & rib platters, we live next door. The food was cold, non-seasoned, undercooked, and most of terrible. Only good thing on the platters where the greens. I called back, Robin the manager was helpful and eager to replace meal! Now the next day we returned, we got pulled pork sandwich (not seasoned) bread soggy, onion rings (soggy), greens (great). Very disappointed! I saw other people post, our food didn’t look anything like there’s, i had too put the ribs back in oven! I would never eat there if it was the last place on earth! Please replace Cook immediately! Wasted of hard earned $

First time here and it was most excellent. We ordered chopped pork, Texas brisket, Mac and cheese and bbq beans.
The bbq sauces we tried were perfection as well.
The brisket was incredible. I wish more places did it like this.
The staff and service were great. Nice location and atmosphere- super chill and a good place to enjoy a great meal.

I used to go to Rockland almost twice a week and loved the food, but today’s experience was very disappointing. The salad was not fresh, and the beef in the burger was overcooked and overly smoky—it was hard to eat. Honestly, it was quite unpleasant. This experience made me really sad, and I don’t think I will go back again.
