Ok. Local BBQ joint we stopped at.
All they had left was pork and chicken, we got one of each.
We’ve had BBQ all over the US and even the world…this wasn’t our favorite. Both meats were moist, which was good, but really unremarkable in flavor.
Sauces were ok, again not our favorite. I appreciate preferences on styles of sauce…these were so so. The tangy tasted suspiciously like Heinz 57 steak sauce.
Appreciated the charm of the place, and very polite staff, just kind of “meh” to our taste.

The buck stops here! My Order was at the register before I even had a chance to pay. I ordered the smoked Turkey leg. John Madden would be proud and certainly any super size appetite that comes with it. The environment remains me of a Dukes of Hazard episode and the serving’s are all for a general. Delicious and on the money bbq!

Was on our way to Jon G’s but the wait was sooooo long we decided to head up the street to Rock Store BBQ. My daughter and I ordered the large turkey leg and ribs. It hit the spot! Ribs fell off the bone and had great flavor. Glad we stopped here instead of heading back to Matthews to eat.

Come through here often my route. Finally stopped and grabbed the brisket combo and got some cornbread and sweet tea. It was good, but if you’re looking for something soaked in sauces, this isn’t the place, but they have sauces you can add for more flavor. Also for the price it’s a good deal if you craving some bbq, but dont want to break the bank as some places charge. The vinegar sauce definitely gave me what I was looking for. If you know anything about NC hometown smoked bbq this is definitely got the hometown taste and feel inside as well. Cornbread was decent. Sweet tea was good, and not so sweet to send you into a diabetic coma if you have diabetes. I’ll be back through to give more of the menu a taste as well!

Ate here a while ago, sadly disappointed food tastes like it was out of a can, on the plus side friendly polite staff and quick service. Anyways back to the food, dry overcooked pulled pork, ribs tasted boiled, I honestly could not finish my food side not taste like true bbq sauce was okay but barbecue shouldn’t taste like it did sadly was on a date night when I experienced this flavorless and dry barbecue should look like this photo I have here below.

Solid food. When I visited in March 2023 some of the glass soda bottles seemed to have lost carbonation some way or another, but that’s probably not a consistent issue. Otherwise, everything was alright

I’m not knocking these people for what they’re doing, cause it’s convenient and I was definitely filled after I left there. While the pulled pork was lovely. Please do not eat the macaroni and cheese, it was disgusting. . . You can tell whomever made it poured the cheese or whatever that yellow substance it was right into whatever it was boiled in. The look was very deceiving. It looked great, however. . . Just don’t.

I’ve passed this little place many times, but finally decided to stop in. They used to have the smell of smoked barbecue filling the streets, but I haven’t experienced that in quite some time now.
I actually ordered a brisket sandwich. The service was fast, environment ok, portion was just ok… especially since, I think I paid $7.00 for the sandwich. Small compared to the price & sadly it was REALLY, REALLY dry. This was a real disappointment

We’ve been to other locations and loved it. We made a special trip to try this location. However, we couldn’t get in the door. My husband is in a wheelchair. While there is handicap parking, the ramp at the door was too narrow and there was a small step-up at the bottom that made it impossible to navigate. The door was also too narrow. I hope they fix these issues so we can actually try them out and give them a better review.
