We had a great experience tonight at Rock N Roll Sushi – Madison! From the moment we were seated, our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed.
We ordered the Punk Rock Roll, Chicken Fried Rice, and two side ginger salads, along with Diet Cokes. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Punk Rock Roll was especially delicious—great texture, bold flavor, and such a fun mix of ingredients.
The atmosphere was upbeat, clean, and welcoming, and the service made the whole visit even better. We truly enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back.

My husband and I came in for dinner and had such a great experience! We started off with draft beers. We’re both super indecisive, so our server was kind enough to let us sample a few before choosing. We ended up loving them!
For food, we ordered the appetizer sampler, which was perfect since I couldn’t decide which one I wanted. Everything was delicious, the egg rolls were especially good. I got the hibachi solo with white rice (asked for no sauce on the veggies) and the Good Times roll with added salmon and both were amazing. The portions were generous too; I even had enough leftovers for lunch the next day!
My husband got the ramen, which was also a huge portion and super flavorful.
Service was awesome, shoutout to Dani, who was so friendly and attentive, and Manny, who checked in on us too. We got to chat with both of them for a bit, and they were super personable and funny. It really made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

I love this place! ROCK ON GUYS!!!! Sushi rolls were perfect with just the right amount of sauce, and the presentation was spot on. So are the rock vibes in the restaurant! Overall, it was a great experience. Service was good too.

Love the classic rock music and music videos. Store was very clean. Came in for lunch around 1300 and there was no wait to be seated. Staff seemed a bit busy but still friendly. Bathroom is single person use only. The spicy tonkatsu Ramen was spicy but tasted super buttery. The rocked lobster roll was the best part. It was awesome.

My family and I are serious Sushi lovers and tonight was our first time trying this location. The best part of the experience was the server’s behavior; in all other aspects, we were so amazingly disappointed. The Sushi was, without question, the worst we’ve had. I don’t take writing a rating like this lightly, but I’ve NEVER had sushi made with rice that was so soft that it was practically a white paste. Also, before tonight, I’ve never seen sushi wrapped in aluminum foil and baked??? Additionally, the pot stickers were cold and doughy; so much so that my son, who absolutely loves pot stickers, declined to finish the appetizer. Additionally, the server informed us that an entire section of the menu was unavailable; thus, the Hibachi menu items and anything requiring vegetables was unavailable! Please pardon my extended review, but I could suppress my disappointment.

Tried this place for the first time and it did not disappoint. Loved the atmosphere. I ordered the Metalhead roll which had a nice balance of flavors. The hibachi was also delicious for those that don’t eat fish. Valerie was super helpful with her recommendations and attentive to our table as well. It’s become my new favorite place to eat!

We came here today for my birthday. We didn’t know it opened today, I thought it had been opened a few months. Haha.
Really good food, lots of sushi options and options for the non seafood / sushi lovers in the bunch. Fun atmosphere with cool music and music videos from different eras.
It’s a little pricey! Family of 4 and we spent $129 including drinks. They do have a military discount and that dropped it down to $109 without the tip. We’ll Def be back but we’ll be careful what we spend next time! Lol.

Tried this new place despite the hit or miss reviews. Food was pretty good, nice presentation, had some taste, but very pricey for small rolls. Wide variety and clever names of sushi rolls, but I believe you’re paying for the atmosphere, which was fun. Our server was not attentive and for a weeknight dinner with three people, just a couple other tables, we were in there nearly 2 hours. We asked if the edamame could be shared with the table and were told yes by our server, but it was a tiny portion that our child ate very quickly. Best part was the music videos of my youth playing throughout the restaurant.

We accidentally crashed the friends and family night prior to opening and they didn’t turn us away. That’s worth a 10 star rating alone. Food and service was phenomenal and we will definitely be back especially since it’s only 5 minutes from home.
