Rock Hill Creamery is a homemade ice cream shop that first opened its doors in 1996! It was originally in Martinsburg, but is now happy to call Shepherdstown home. We make our ice cream completely from scratch right in house. No pre-made bases used, we start all our ice cream off with just milk, sugar, heavy cream, and love! Come on by, we’d love to see you!

We have literally planned trips across the US and Europe around ice cream and gelato, and Rock Hill is absolutely our favorite ice cream shop! The staff is so friendly, the shop adorable, and the flavors are consistently creative and delicious! Their lavender honey is the best we’ve had, but you also can’t go wrong with half coffee/half salted caramel. This place is awesome for locals or worth a special trip for visitors!

Very sweet place….really! Sweet treats in the form of homemade ice cream made with quality ingredients, freshly made waffle cones, and candy toppings. Plus this cute shop is in a building that is only 8 feet wide.

Rock Hill Creamery is a spot you can’t miss stopping at. On German Street, it is the only shop of its kind amongst the eclectic mix located here. This shop is a vibrant reflection of the colorful town where everyone loving refers to the owner Danielle as, “Ice Cream Lady.”
Her HANDMADE flavors are out of this world. I personally sampled her Thai tea, lavender honey, and her up and coming flavor, ruby moon pie, which was a blast of fresh strawberry flavor, fudge swirls, and bits of banana flavored moon pies mixed into the batch. It was like a bite of a hyper powered banana split. SO GOOD!
Danielle is a flavor GENIUS!
Ice cream isn’t the only thing in Danielle’s orbit either. Those observing a vegan diet can enjoy her jaw dropping sorbet too. Zingy lemon, and tropical mango were her select flavors this week and I may have to stop in to, “sample” (AKA devour an entire pint,) of this delightful duo.
If you are not serving your sweet tooth here, you’re doing it wrong.

So yummy! The Thai tea… I don’t understand how they made it so flavorful just like I was drinking a Thai tea. The caramel apple cinnamon was great too. Friendly staff and quick service.

Definitely a treasure found! This ice cream place was absolutely wonderful. The menu and choices are great. Only place to have Lavender Honey ice cream. It was so good I almost don’t have words . If you are near or padding by or even just a trip it’s worth it. Friendly employee and clean.

Wow, this ice cream was delicious! I love unique flavors, so I tried the lavender honey flavor, made with local honey. It was purple, which was fun! The lavender taste wasn’t strong, but I could definitely taste the honey. It was perfectly creamy – a wonderful treat! The interior is small with just one little table and two chairs. It was a little chilly the day we came, so we ate inside. We had our 11 month old with us. She was content to sit in her umbrella stroller and look around while mom and dad ate their ice cream. The interior is cute, and the staff member that we interacted with was very friendly!
