Elevated Italian eatery with a pasta focus, plus mozzarella made tableside & a big wine list.

This restaurant truly stands up to its Michelin star status. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. We reserved the dry aged Rohan duck ahead of time and it did not disappoint. The lemon spaghetti with blue crab had perfect texture on the spaghetti and creamy citrus flavor. Our dinner was topped off with a satisfying chocolate expresso custard.

Rocca in Tampa offers a memorable Italian dining experience with skillfully prepared dishes and thoughtful flavors. We started with the Bread with Lemon Butter, followed by the Wagyu Steak Carpaccio, which was rich, and full of flavor. The Spaghetti al Limone was refreshing and perfectly cooked, with a bright citrus balance that elevated the dish. Rocca’s house made pastas and seasonal items consistently showcase careful technique and high quality ingredients. The atmosphere is refined yet welcoming, making it a great choice for a special evening out. While the dessert didn’t quite stand out, the rest of the meal perfectly captures why Rocca remains one of the standout Italian restaurants.

From the service to the food, Rocca proves exactly why it holds a Michelin Star. From the moment we walked in, the service was impressive. The host greeted us right away and promptly seated us at our table. Our waiter, Jayden, was amazing. Everything we asked for, he delivered and he made sure we got the best options that fit our criteria. We also appreciated that he was knowledgeable about what items were halal and knew the menu inside and out.
We started with the bread service the butter was soft, flavorful, and so good. The Broccolini was one of our favorites of the night and exceeded our expectations. The caramelized sweet potatoes were perfectly paired with the cream, and the broccolini with its sauce came together beautifully.
We followed that with the Tagliolini Al Ragu pasta, which was also great, and then the Bistecca. The meat was incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and the salsa verde complemented it perfectly.
To finish, we had the Ricotta Gelato. It was so smooth, and the guava sauce was delicious you couldn’t even taste the cheese in the ice cream!
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back.

I’m really sad to even be writing this because Rocca has truly been my favorite spot in town for a long time. I’ve always loved the atmosphere and the food has consistently been amazing, which made last night even more disappointing.
The service felt noticeably cold and uninviting, which was unusual compared to my past experiences. I also observed some concerning hygiene issues. The rag being used to clean the cutting board appeared visibly dirty, and the gloves used during the mozzarella cart service seemed to have old cheese residue on them. It made the experience uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, after dinner I became extremely ill, which is something I’ve never experienced here before.
I don’t write this lightly because I genuinely loved this restaurant. I’m just disappointed and hoping this was an off night. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously, because this has always been one of my favorite places.

This place was lovely! The best service I’ve had yet, and our server Elijah did a wonderful job! The appetizers and entrees were delightful and portion sizes were just right. The desserts we ordered were delicious too and they gave us cheese and white chocolate samples to try. I definitely appreciate the thought behind the dishes representing Italian cuisine but putting a new spin and reconstructing it in a way that makes it a new experience for someone.

We had a great experience at Rocca. Service was solid from start to finish, and our server Jeff was amazing. We ordered the mozzarella cart, bread service, two cocktails, the Agnolotti, Spaghetti al Limone, the steak, and the apple tart.
The mozzarella cart was really good and the cocktails were great. Bread was fine. The Agnolotti was absolutely spectacular and easily the standout of the night. The Spaghetti al Limone was delicious. The steak was just okay and a bit tough for wagyu, but the green beans that came with it were outstanding. We took the apple tart to go and it was pretty average.
Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely come back, especially for the pasta.

Visited Tampa for the weekend from Philly and was recommended this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint from the moment we walked in the warmth and hospitality was evident. Some of the most knowledge bartenders and servers I’ve ever experienced. Daniel and Stephanie are rockstars they know the menu inside and out and made tremendous recs. A special s/o Brennan who not only knew the menu but if you ever get a chance to talk Chartruese or wine with him consider yourself lucky. Did I mention the drinks and dessert all 10/10. Truly deserving of its Michelin status. Will be flying back to Tampa to enjoy the city and of course visit again. Until Next time Rocca.

Me and my wife came all the way from NY to celebrate our anniversary. We saw this place on multiple guides and lists, so we decided to come here. I kid you not!! Everything we ate was soooooo freaking good!! We will definitely come back here when we’re in the area. The bread was fresh, the butter was whipped so soft and airy, the tuna crudo was light, refreshing and balanced. The Entrées we had was the Agnolotti, Mezze Rigatoni alla Zozzona and Tortello all’ Uovo. The Agnolotti was fantastic! A very well-balanced dish, the bread cumbs added nice texture and the hint of spice from the salame calabrese was a nice surprise. The Tortello was rich, creamy and a nice amount of earthy umami. The Rigatoni Zozzona (highly recommended by our server) was soooooo good!!! If you want a hearty pasta with so much flavor, this is the dish to get! But what really wowed me was the burnt cheesecake. Im not a cheese cake fan, but this dish changed my mind. It’s so soft. It’s a literal hybrid of a creme brelee and cheesecake. The Rocca staff and GM Dylan were phenomenal, attentive and hospitalitable. Chef Bryce is killing it with his flavors and dishes. Even as i am writing this, I’m thinking about the next time im going back.

Me and my roommates visited Rocca in Tampa recently (we live at The Pearl, so it was a nice quick walk over to visit our neighbors ) and the whole experience was genuinely impressive. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, inviting, and effortlessly classy. The service flowed smoothly, the food and drinks were on point, and the atmosphere made it easy for all of us to settle in and enjoy the night.
What really stood out, though, was the hospitality from the bar team; especially their lead, Brennen. He has that rare mix of professionalism and personality that makes you feel like more than just guests. He paid attention to what each of us liked, made great recommendations, and managed the bar with a level of ease and confidence that set the tone for the entire team. You can tell he leads by example, because everyone behind the bar had that same positive energy and attention to detail.
It’s rare to find a spot where the environment, the drinks, and the hospitality all align so perfectly, but Rocca delivered. We left feeling taken care of and honestly excited to come back. Definitely one of the best experiences we’ve had in Tampa.

We went to Rocca for Valentines Day and I was so excited. Sadly went in with such high expectations but was let down by the food. For having to pay $150 just to reserve for Valentine’s Day, all we were given were mediocre champagne and truffles. I ordered the ragu and my fiancé had the truffle fettuccine. My ragu was over salted, the fettuccine was underwhelming, and the pasta noodles for both dishes were undercooked. The only dish I enjoyed was the wagyu carpaccio.
