We are a small local owned cafe in the center of Clarinda’s square. We have menu accommodations for children, small appetites, and big appetites. We offer a variety of food as well as desserts. The food is always good but I was very impressed with the custom cake I had ordered. It was designed exactly like the picture I used for an example and without any fondant (because who really enjoys the taste of fondant). Not only did it look great but it tastes great as well. It was moist and flavorful. Communication was great and price was reasonable. Will be my go-to for cakes in the future.

Cute décor! Food was good and staff was great. They have a lot of breakfast options which are available the entire time they’re open (they close at 2pm). There are also bakery goods for sale at the check out counter that vary by day. If you’re there on the hour, check out the clock over the door because the numbers do a little dance routine.

Best place to get breakfast. The menu here is great, and the staff are quite friendly. The hungry man is my favorite, but the burgers and omelettes are fantastic too! And if you want dessert, their gourmet pancakes are delicious! Such a cozy little place to eat wonderful food first thing in the morning.

We have been there a lot to eat, normally the food is great and service is good. But today there were very busy and didn’t open the back room so front rm was very full. Didn’t get what we ordered a tenderloin, and what we did get was a cold beef with mashed potatoes and gravy wasn’t even hot.
Maybe it was just an off day for them. Hopefully next time will be better.

Waited a while to be seated. They didn’t take our order for 30 minutes. Then when they did, a breakfast cafe, ran out of biscuits and gravy. As we waited we watched people who came in after us get their order taken and get their food before we even ordered ours. Going on an hour and we still don’t have food. Worst service and experience! And the coffee was TERRIBLE!!
