If you’re coming here expecting authentic Korean BBQ, just know… this is not that.
First off: We had a 7:30 reservation, arrived early at 7:18, and the very first thing we were told was that we needed to be out by 8:30. No hello, no easing into it.. just a countdown timer apparently! Then we got ushered upstairs… to a completely empty dining room. So that set the tone a little.
From the first bite, I was confused. Everything had a strong white pepper kick (like… a lot). The bulgogi tasted more like Chinese pepper beef, and the pork was just kind of… meh. Even the sauces were off. Talk about a Ssamjang pepper bomb! Banchan was so sad. Small portions, no refills, and no kimchi or radish at the start. The waiter did bring kimchi out later (which was kind), but the sauerkraut kimchi didn’t really redeem things.
And then the rice…
All this little pregnant Asian girl wanted at the end of a long day was a bowl of rice. What I got was way overcooked, wet, gummy, and plasticky tasting rice. *Cries*
The seafood pancake was okay, but missing the essential spicy soy dipping sauce that makes it hit. The one real win? The tteokbokki. She carried.
About halfway through, I noticed Chinese characters on the walls and even on the washroom signs and was like… oh. That explains a lot. The flavors lean way more Chinese than Korean, and not in a fusion way…more like identity crisis.
To be fair, service was ok. The waiter noticed we weren’t loving the kimchi and rice and took them off the bill, which I appreciated.
But yeah… I wouldn’t come back. I still taste pepper
⭐️ 1 star (for effort.. and for the tteokbokki carrying the team)
If you haven’t experienced Han Table Barbecue yet, you’re doing Lisbon wrong. This place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a full sensory journey.
Came alone, felt like princess!
About starters: the spicy radish alone is worth the trip. Crisp, fiery, perfectly balanced – wakes up your palate and sets the stage for what’s to come. Every starter dish arrived like a small work of art, and I found myself slowing down just to savor each bite.
As I was there by myself I’ve decided to go straightforward and order the most vomucated dish (IMO). I usually find bulgogi definitely too sweet. Not this time! FINALLY! The dish was transcendent: tender, marinated to perfection. Watching it sizzle on the grill, the caramelization happening right before your eyes… this is food as theater, and I was completely mesmerized.
My kimchi pancake wad crispy, tangy, packed with flavor and – of course – way too big Perfect combo of comfort food and complex taste! Golden-edged, substantial, absolutely crave-worthy.
Dinning is an experience – and when you eat alone, you pay attention to the details. What elevated my entire experience was Miss Apu. Attentive without hovering, helpful without being pretentious, warm, funny and welcoming – she made me feel great and well taken care of. The girl deserves a raise! Miss Apu is the embodiment of hospitality done right!
The vibes are immaculate, the food is spectacular, nothing to add here. Just go. Now. Bring friends. Order everything. Thank me later! Love you guys!
Sana was a terrific server, and really made our evening.
The outdoor seating area is open air, covered, and heated. Even though it was raining tonight, we were perfectly comfortable eating outside.
We’re only in Lisbon for three days, but we’ve already made a reservation to eat here tomorrow, this time for the table-cooked barbecue.
Sana were exceptionally great, knowledgeable and super friendly. Constantly making sure if we needed anything!
The food came really fast and it was really tasty! It was so good we forgot to take photos of the food before eating. Bimala was really nice and made sure we had a good meal
Will definitely come back.
The concept of enjoying high-quality BBQ in a comfortable, closed space was a major highlight—it created a fantastic atmosphere for a meal. The meats were exceptionally well-prepared; they were thinly sliced, making them quick and easy to cook, and their marinade was absolutely delicious. Every bite was a treat!
What really elevated the experience was the attentive and amazing staff. They were incredibly helpful and diligent, ensuring a smooth dining process by promptly changing the BBQ grill every time it was needed. This kind of service really makes a difference.
A definite must-order is the side of cheese around the BBQ. It’s a brilliant addition that complements the grilled meats perfectly and adds a nice, savory twist to the meal.
If you are looking for top-notch Korean BBQ with delicious, well-marinated meats, great ambiance, and stellar service, look no further than Ham Table. I recommend it to everyone!
A special thanks to Apu for the amazing service! So friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. Apu made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
