Went here for lunch today and had a fantastic experience. The space is large and welcoming, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. We tried the California Burrito and the Carnitas Taco—the taco was especially impressive, with perfectly crispy, flavorful meat. The salsa bar featured four excellent varieties, and the staff even refilled our chips multiple times at no extra charge. Overall, a great spot with delicious food and outstanding service. Definitely worth a visit!

No more pico??? Me and my husband have been coming here for years, but this was likely my last visit. They have one of the better breakfast tacos in the area, and their mild pico de gallo was always a nice side with it. Now they’ve changed the salsa bar – mild pico it’s gone – and the mild can only be purchased. That’s an extra $4 bucks and we’ll only use some of it. I guess I’ll look online and try some of the new places that have sprung up in the last few years. (Of course portion sizes have gotten smaller over time, too…)

We went yesterday for a late lunch; the place was awesome, and the staff were friendly. The food was good. I don’t have much knowledge about Mexican food, but I love their fish tacos – they’re delicious compared to other places!

Jalapeños can be described as a taco shop with “sports pub” vibes. No fútbol playing though only golf, football, & tennis.

Ample parking

Self serve salsa bar

They call your number to pickup your food at the counter

Affordable prices for good food

We had the beans & a California burrito

Thanks Jalapeños!!

I was refused service at this restaurant for having a service animal, even though my dog was fully enclosed in a secured stroller with the top closed.

This is a direct violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). When I informed the owner of the law, he openly stated that he “didn’t care” and claimed he has been doing this for 30 years. That level of disregard for federal law and customer rights is unacceptable.

This was not just poor customer service — it was discriminatory behavior. I strongly encourage others to be aware of their rights and hope the owner takes accountability and educates himself on ADA compliance moving forward.

I am a regular at Jalapeños, typically getting takeout two times a week. The Mexican food is really good and reasonably priced. The restaurant was entirely refurbished about two years ago with nice murals, large TVs for watching games, and overall nice decor. Staff is very friendly and recognize repeat customers.

First time visiting. Went because I was craving margaritas and shrimp fajitas. Unfortunately they don’t serve any kind of margaritas. They only offer few beer on tap and bottled beers which was very disappointing. Their fajitas was good and so was the shrimp taco. Food was good, customer service was also good. Very spacious and good atmosphere to bring little kids.

I was really disappointed with my visit to Jalapeños Carmel Mountain
I ordered a carne asada bowl to go (around $13.25 before tax). When I opened it, the container and the food were both almost cold. The lettuce looked old and like it had been mixed with other food, and the whole bowl tasted like it had been in the refrigerator and reheated instead of made fresh
The meat especially didn’t look or taste like it had just been cooked on the stove, which made me uncomfortable eating it. I’m a big food lover and I can usually tell when something is fresh — this did not taste fresh at all, so I ended up barely eating it
On top of that, they didn’t even include a spoon or napkins with my to-go order. The white spoon in my photo is mine.
For the price I paid, this felt like a complete waste of money. I came here because of the high ratings, but my experience was very different. I really hope they improve the quality and temperature of the food and pay more attention to basic details like utensils and freshness(P.S. I live 1 minute away, so the food didn’t get cold on the way home it was already cold)

So good. I love the flautas they are meaty and topped with lots of goodies. The staff is always nice. If you dine I. They give you chip and you can get salsa for the salsa bar.
