The wait staff were frendly and seemed to work well together.
But we were there for the FOOD. And it tasted much better than average. Superior to say Tenders on US-377.
So good that we came back the next week. And we tried the steak. I had the ribeye and it was cooked to my specification.
In conclusion, give this restuant a try! It may look a little rough. But the food is good and the wait staff is much better than most.
I ordered the 8 oz filet steak cooked medium-rare, but it unfortunately arrived a bit undercooked and was basically cold. If you’re gonna charge $26.59 & call yourself a steakhouse you probably need to nail the steaks. However, everything else we tried really hit the mark! The fried okra was crispy, fresh, and absolutely delicious – I’d definitely order it again. The mac and cheese was okay, nothing over-the-top, but a good classic side.
I’ll be back to try more on their menu because there’s a lot that looks tempting. Overall, it’s a great spot to support local business and enjoy a friendly, down-to-earth meal.
Steak was cooked to perfection!! The seasoning !! No sides or sauces needed!!
A hearty meal with reasonable pricing!!
MUST TRY!!
Place was emptying out from the dinner rush. Was seated after a very brief wait. Seated, given menus and drink order taken.
Came back with drinks, we ordered the Fried Mushrooms. At this point, I wanted BBQ. ALL OF IT! Well to my surprise, so did everyone else! ALL BBQ SOLD OUT!
This isn’t a food you can just whip up, so understandable. Also they just opened a week ago. So likely getting used to the flow.
We ordered the large ribeye (small was sold out) with green beans. The ribeye was cooked just right! Green beans full of flavor!
Also ordered a Burger. It seems to be a pre frozen maybe Angus patty. Wasn’t horrible but very salty and tasted processed. Fries were good crinkles! We each ordered a ceaser salad. This was an interesting mix of spring mix and lettuces with some croutons and the shredded parm Romano mix cheese was definitely unexpected but a nice addition! Will definitely return, want to try the BBQ! Hope they have a Sampler Plate Option!
My husband ordered his steak medium and what came out was burnt on outside and looked like it had been ran over. It was horrible. The brisket was okay but no good flavor. The cheesy potatoes for the side were too greasy. I also ordered the baked beans and they were basically just pintos with their BBQ sauce stirred in. It’s a shame the food was so bad. The staff was very nice.
Brisket was excellent, jalapeño sausage was good, and regular sausage was ok.
Of the sides we had, my wife and I agreed that the coleslaw was the best.
BBQ sauce was fine, just a bit sweet for our taste. It would be nice if you had a second, less sweet option, however, I don’t want to nitpic it’s a good spot for sure.
So delicious!!!
