We stopped in for a late lunch bite midweek, and there wasn’t much on offer at the time in town. This place was nice, with very friendly service and a nice vibe. The food was tasty, with lots of seasoning and flavour to my Italian grinder sandwich! The place was clean and the restrooms too.

Great place! Such kind staff to my partner, my dog, and I. They have a wonderful heated covered patio for the cooler mornings, and pup friendly. We stopped in at Destination Cafe after spending the night at the motel next door. The staff was incredibly friendly. We arrived a little after 7 am. I didn’t realize that they did not start serving hot breakfast items until 7:30 am. We got our hot beverages while we waited until then. Coffee was good and my husband got a hot chocolate which was excellent. No Swiss Miss here…this stuff was homemade! Breakfast was delicious, especially the omelette. Great service – great food!

Wow! Amazing all around! As someone who has traveled to many small towns across the country, I was extremely impressed with the Destination Cafe.
They have created a unique and fresh menu in a location where ingredients can be very hard to find! They are also one of the few places to offer beer, wine and liquor with your meal!
The food was beyond delicious, and could rival any big city restaurant! Not only do they offer an amazing menu, but the environment was delightful. You can sit inside with air conditioning, at tables or bar style seats looking out the window (my favorite )while you admire local artwork on the walls and check out local art and jewelry for purchase. The outside patio, with colorful umbrellas, is also a delightful spot to eat while gazing upon the rock formations that create this beautiful landscape!
To top it off, the service was phenomenal. Bailey and Sarah were so attentive but also quick and efficient! They not only got my order out quickly and perfectly cooked, but also had time to talk to me about my travels, local attentions etc. They are rockstars!
If you are in Escalante and hungry or just looking for good company and local advice- you have to make time to stop in the Destination Cafe! And if you enjoy the cocktails too much you can always get a room at their amazing motel next door!

I have been coming to Escalante for over 30 years and Destination Cafe is the best food I’ve had in this lovely little town. In addition to the incredible food the ambience and vibe of the restaurant is wonderful. You feel a little like you’ve stepped into a friend’s house. It is so welcoming and comfortable. All of this makes for a great experience but the reason to keep coming back is the staff. The entire crew running this place are kind, attentive, hilarious and friendly. If you find yourself in this corner of Utah, do not miss this gem.

Most of our stars are for the sweet and kind service from Sarah! Digital nomads a little confused on where to go in town for some work time, she was so kind and accommodating in letting us stick around! Changed our day 🙂 It made the already delicious food even better.
Coffee was WONDERFUL, homemade syrups and excellent espresso, and the sandwiches were fresh and even the eggs were full of flavor. Due to short staffing they had to close early, but it was worth every moment to be there! Worth it to support them 100%!

The best restaurant in Esperanza! Friendly staff, absolutely DELICIOUS food, and they were incredibly accommodating with my gluten allergy. I ate here 3 times in 2 days! Highly recommended!

Came into town to do some work on my mom and dad’s place. We make a point to stop in every time we are in town. The Breakfast Bagel sandwich is excellent! As is the American Breakfast! It helps that the staff are very friendly and customer service oriented!! Give it a try if you come thru town. They do close for the winter around Thanksgiving, but do check to make sure!
