Driving through Bethlehem we were looking for a place to stop and strech our legs.
Roadside diner popped up and immediately drew our attention. We were I’m our motor home and had to park outside the gate.
We were quickly joined by an inquisitive owner, Bruce, who welcomed us and had a quick chat.
The decor inside and out is fantastic. It is tastefully appointed with different dining areas within and outside.
The food is well priced, served piping hot and really generous portions.
The staff interaction and service is fantastic.
Well done. Great place

The food was excellent and our waitress was friendly, attentive, and a real highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, the management seemed very preoccupied with an event and came across as unfriendly at times. It was also uncomfortable to see the workers and staff spoken to poorly in front of guests.

Unforgettable location with a charm and quirkiness that reminds you of the now-all-but-vanished roadside culture of the United States. It’s really hard to capture the fun vibe with antique vehicles converted into seating juxtaposed with the landscape of South Africa. The food, drinks, and service is all top-notch, this is a gem not to be missed!

Service from Sam was great
Food was good. Pizza and Nacho’s
R110 for a rock shandy was very pricey.
Ended up spending R800 for a lunch for 2 people.

A fun atmosphere where cars are the centerpieces for all outside seating. Old cars are repurposed as booths to bring the place to life, and kids of all ages from 2 to 92 will have fun here! The menu reflects the diner theme with aptly named dishes, which also follow the American diner ethos. The food is tasty, the portions are generous and I feel the prices are reasonable for what you’re getting. I would recommend and revisit this place

The Road Side Diner is a fantastic place to dine! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, informative, and helpful, making our visit truly enjoyable.

We loved the unique dining options—either inside vintage cars or stylishly at the various cozy tables. It added a fun and nostalgic touch to the experience.

We each had the pot pie, and it was absolutely fantastic.

All in all, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend The Road Side Diner to anyone looking for delicious food and a memorable dining atmosphere.
