This is great place to get breakfast or lunch!! Shannon is the best and the cook/owner looks like Stone Cold. He really knows how to throw down in the kitchen. I’ve had the Country Scramble on one visit and Huevos Rancheros on another visit and both were excellent and I always look forward to try something new on the menu. My homie had the country style omelet and it looked so good and he enjoyed very much. The country style potatoes are the best yet. So definitely a must try. Tell them Omar said hello.

My husband and I love it here, we are from the East Coast and this place is what reminds of us home more than anything else we can find. The food is always awesome no matter what you order, the best ham steak around! We love the staff, they are always friendly and welcoming and fun to talk to. Don’t forget to grab a cinnamon roll on your way out.

Let’s start with the positive.
The place has a super cute mom and pop feel. The food was fantastic and the place was clean. It was the lunch rush, the tables were full, but there was almost no wait. I really liked the atmosphere as well. There was only one person waiting tables and I think she was very consistent and quick, as well as super nice. The cook was also really nice as he was helping serving.
Now, for the not so good.
The tables were too high, we sat at a booth. The table top came to mid chest so I needed a booster seat as well as the kids. I stand at 5′ 4″. The fountain drink, Pepsi was watery so we switched it to Dr. Pepper and it was over carbonated so it burned your mouth to drink it. The orders were messed up. I ordered a simple BLT on sour dough with cheese tattor tots, I was given a BLT on white, with French fries. The French fries were supposed to be for the kids with the grill cheese. So I slid it over to them. They brought me some tattor tots but no cheese. I ate the BLT anyways and it was phenomenal. I did not tell her the sandwich was wrong, I hate wasting food! I still paid full price as I should have because I did eat the phenomenal sandwich, but at 1.99 per fountain drink, and no cheese on the tots???
At any rate, I will eat here again because the food was outstanding. If you don’t mind a few hiccups in service and want excellent food, eat here.

cute little diner in Dayton Nevada right on 50. serves breakfast and lunch closing at 2:00 p.m. prices are moderate but the portions are huge. we have a Denver omelette with home fries bacon and English muffin. The serving was big enough for us to share and be quite full. Great coffee. once server to handle two dining rooms and the outdoor patio but she was friendly and warm and checked on us continuously. She also handled to-go orders.
