Our experience at Roadrunner Cafe was a little mixed. The staff was very friendly and kind, which we definitely appreciated.
Unfortunately, the quality and taste of the dishes we ordered didn’t really match the cost. Out of the five plates at our table, two came out incorrect. They did take them back to fix them, but it ended up taking longer to get the corrected dishes the second time than it did the first time — and the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time.
The service staff themselves were very nice, but overall the food and timing just didn’t quite live up to the price.

We loved the atmosphere. The food was decent. The pickle chips were good. The sweet tea, absolutely delicious! The mashed potatoes and gravy were . I had the buffalo chicken wrap (minus tomatoes), the chicken pieces were quite large. My husband had the big bacon burger, he enjoyed it – they did not ask how he wanted it cooked so if that’s important to you you’ll want to be sure to mention it when ordering. We both thought the fries were pretty good too. The meal was very filling. Last but not least, Stephanie was a fantastic server with her beauty, kindness, personality, and efficiency.

I’ve been here about 5 or 6 times now (2 times were to-go). Every time I come here, no matter who my server is, I’m always given the best service I could ask for. You seat yourself and there is a pretty diverse menu of items to choose from. I’ve tried the sampler appetizer, the sirloin, the Philly cheesesteak, the hamburger steak and the BLT. Everything is always delicious and I cannot express enough how much myself and my family appreciate the prices in this economy! I can get a steak dinner for under $20 (before tax+tip) and you can’t get two McDonald’s meals for that. I am so glad I stopped by the first time, they have a customer for life now.

Been here for lunch and dinner many times. This is a bar restaurant, family friendly with excellent food. Prices are very reasonable. We have ordered almost everything on the menu over many trips here. I am in love with the road burger with ghost pepper cheese. My daughter most recently ordered the ribeye steak and let me tell you, this was one of the most well cooked and flavorful steaks I have ever tasted! I have ate at some of the most elite restaurants all over the CSRA and this steak tastes amazing! Don’t sleep on this little place! You will be pleasantly surprised!

The wait staff was friendly and quick with turn around. However the shrimp platter was bland. Tarter sauce was just mayo with a drop of lemon. Shrimp had no flavor and the hush puppies were greasy. The enjoyed the salad that was good.

Driving around looking for a place to eat and we stumbled into this roadside cafe. We were a little skeptical upon walking in since it seemed as though everybody knew each other. Being from California, we were the outsiders.A guest sitting at the bar let us know that we could find a table that we like and seat ourselves. That was nice since we didn’t really know if we had to wait to be seated. The waiter, Dylan, came over and was very friendly and polite. We ordered our food and didn’t even have to wait too long for it.to be ready. The place was pretty crowded, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves amongst all the other guests. The food was delicious. We will definitely be going back before we head back home to California.

I didn’t have too many expectations for this place, you can easily miss it driving by. But oh man, was their ribeye good! Some of the best steaks I’ve had in a while, actually… It was cooked medium as I requested and the flavor was on point, perfectly grilled! The salad that came on the side was a pretty average salad. The sweet potato fries that came as a second side were fantastic – crispy and flavorful, cooked just right. The beer was cold and not flat! The atmosphere inside might give you a “locals only” feeling but the servers were extremely friendly and attentive! I recommend that place if you try to grab a bite and some beer!

I was in town a few days for a funeral. I ate here twice in a week. The food was amazing. The chicken tenders are hand battered in house. They cakes with fresh hot fries and the ranch was THE BOMB! The $9.99 lunch menu makes lunch very affordable and a gives a chance to take a break from fast food. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I will be returning here when I return to Augusta!

We came here for the 1st time tonight. We both had the ribeye & potatoes. We also had a sampler appetizer to try a bunch of things. The app was just ok nothing special or worth trying again per se. Best thing on their was the onion rings. Definitely worth getting them as a side with your meal. The steaks however werw fantastic!!! Seasoned and prepared well. The bf loved his baked potato & exclaimed he’d come back just 4 that lol. My mashed potatoes were a pass, might have been an off night there. When choosing your side DO NOT order the salad it was how they ended up with 4 instead of 5 stars. Lastly we came on a Tue night & they had karaoke. It was awesome and we’re definitely going to come back again. It’s worth a try. I’ve had steaks some of everywhere and these are 1 of the BEST we’ve had in Augusta so far!
