This place is a straight up gem. I seriously cannot believe how good it was for what we paid. Everything was on point. Fast service, great food, solid portions, and the taste was unreal. But the biggest thing for me was the SERVICE. It is rare to find people who actually care like that anymore. KC has a lot of brunch spots, but none of them hit like Rise and Shine. We are 100 percent coming back. New favorite spot.

Today was the 1st time I have been at Rize N’ Shine. It was a very nice place with EXCELLENT FOOD ! A lot better than other breakfast/lunch places. The prices were also reasonable.
The name of the server on my receipt shows Chava M. He did a great job, very friendly and knowledgeable ! I had the Quiche and cinnamon roll latte and both were amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try other things. Great job RIZE N’ SHINE !!!

We stopped here for breakfast 2/12/26. This place was 10/10. We are a family and there were coloring menus for the kids, food for both picky and adventurous eaters, a great drink menu as well if you love coffee (we didn’t have any but the cocktail menu looked great). The hostess, I think his name was Tony, was extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a male waiter who was very kind, attentive and provided great service. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. If we lived here we would make this a place we visit often.

We love Rize and Shine. The food is always worth the wait. We visit 4 to 6 times a month, at least once every weekend, and the food is always exceptional. The servers are all polite and fast. My only complaint is the wait time on some days, but the food always tastes amazing and makes it worth it.

This was an unexpected find! Bestie and I wanted something different and decided on brunch. She found this place in between our two homes and wow, we have a new breakfast spot. I had the traditional Benedict-eggs were perfectly poached and the Hollandaise perfection. Bestie went with an ala carte meal-pancakes, scrambled egg and biscuit and gravy. She declared the b & g some of the best she’d ever eaten. I had a bite of her pancake-delicious! The weak link was the hashbrowns-they seemed a bit undercooked, but portions were so generous we didn’t mind not finishing them. We’ll try a different side next time, because there will definitely be a next time. Add to the experience outstanding wait service and reasonable prices and this was a supreme dining experience!

We wanted a new breakfast restaurant option so we came to try this place. The service was very good, attentive and kind. However my food was not great, I had an avocado toast and the avocado had a funky flavor that flavor that avocado gets when it’s bad or it’s been seating for long time. So I could only eat the half. Potatoes were good. I didn’t love my cinnamon roll. My husband liked his dish so I guess I would give another chance to this place later.

Came for breakfast on a Sunday. The owners and staff seem friendly and engaged. The place was busy with line out the door. The wait for food was pretty long but we were not in a rush and the place was busy. You could see a lot of tables without food though so kitchen was struggling likely. I ordered a chicken fried steak breakfast with eggs, toast, potatoes, and gravy. The food was OK. Not bad but not memorable IMO. The fried steak was a bit too hard. I tried both thr regular and chorizo gravy.. they were also both forgettable for my pallet. The white gravy is heavy on the flower taste. They were both too plain to be great/memorable. My wife had avocado toast, eggs, and a cinnamon roll. She did not enjoy the avocado and thought it was “funky”. I do like that they have capuchinos and other lattes, expressos, etc. Overall I could recommend to someone in the area for a breakfast/ brunch spot. It does not make any top lists though based on the meal we had today. I would reccomend they try to make some new signature dishes that bump up thr flavor and rusticness vs just repurposing an old menu from previous owners. Make it your own guys! (The menu also lists the chicken fried steak in 2 different places at 2 different prices… )

Ate here everyday while in town! We came to Kansas City for the All National baseball tournament and found this place via Google. I had something different everyday and EVERYTHING was so good. My husband had the sausage and egg biscuit everyday because he loved it so much. Highly recommend!
