Rix Sports Bar and Grill is a 3rd party owned and operated restaurant inside Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. It is a fancy sports bar open for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Now your experience at Rix will depend on your expectations. Coronado Springs is a very large convention center. Are you dining here to then rush off to a conference? To rush off to catch rope drop at a theme park? Judging by other Google reviews (4 star average) and our personal experience, the wait staff is not in a big rush. If you’re just dining at Rix for a nice meal without a time constraint, be it for girls night out, date night, or family time, then you’ll enjoy your meal as well as the atmosphere of the bar and grill. We have dined at Rix multiple times with groups of 6-8 women, and we always enjoyed our meal. Dinner options Rix is known for are Caesar and wedge salads, grilled cheese and soup, chicken sandwiches, fish and chips, bacon cheeseburgers, and steak sandwiches. The fries are memorable, the bathrooms are nice and clean, and there’s a variety of sports playing on a multitude of televisions. Before you’re finished eating, my suggestion is to ask for the bill before you really need it and are in a hurry. This is when people seem to get the most frustrated. Then go take a leisurely stroll around the property. Coronado Springs is just a beautiful resort any time of year. There are many bars inside and out, walking paths all around the lake, and a great gift shop. You could make the meal and resort sightseeing a three hour event, four if you also grab a drink and sit out by the lake. All the bathrooms on property are really nice. Reservations at Rix are plentiful and easy to make. It’s a nice Disney dining option for those not in a rush to get somewhere else.

Came here for valentines dinner to try a new place and I wouldn’t return. The food and drinks are 100% overpriced. Food was just meh. Had the steak sandwich and the bread was cut so poorly, as soon as I picked up the sandwich everything fell out. And it was on small. It wasn’t edible, so I let the server know and she said they’d make a new one for me. They did, it was the exact same but I just ate it anyway because I was hungry. It was soooo dry I had to ask for sauce. The steak was flavorless and dry. It wasn’t good. The waffle fries were good though. Hubby said burger was good. Drinks were good but soooo overpriced. I know it’s Disney but still, overpriced for this specific place. Server was good but couldn’t find her at times. We were quite disappointed. We won’t be returning.

Unfortunately the food is just mediocre but that about the consistency at the other places here at the Coronado Springs.
Check-in was quick, being seated took 25 minutes even thought here was 8 tables free. Service was chaotic but she was very nice.

All of the food ordered was great quality, especially for the price. I enjoyed the large serving of nachos and a chicken sandwich we split between two people. Our server, Jeremiah, was very nice and helpful, and even gave us the sandwich already cut in half for us with each their own serving of fries. As for the atmosphere, it was very loud, of course, because of the children, but the building made everything echo. The restaurant seemed to clear of most if not all children by 9pm, so I recommend going near that time if you can’t handle kids screaming.

While our food was great, our service was awful. Our server often disappeared on us. We had to ask people to find her. And, she was not friendly.
Food wise: we got boneless tenders for the app which were delicious. I got nachos and added chicken for my meal and it was good. Dessert we got the smores brownie (forget what it was called) it was amazing, minus the fact they didn’t add the graham cracker crumbs on top.

At the Coronado Springs Resort this Sport Bar is a good stop for kids to have breakfast or bite dinner. Service is very good. Menu is small but the food is tasty and fresh. Burgers are big , breakfast Cather to the little ones. One impressive, the mozzarella sticks.
A 3.5

Atmosphere- 3 stars- Sports bar/restaurant located at Coronado Springs in the Disney World Resort complex. This hotel caters to conventions so you will encounter large work groups taking their lunch breaks. The restaurant has a full bar and tons of big screen televisions. You should have access to view one from anywhere inside. I wasn’t too impressed with the decor or layout.
Service- 3 stars- Our waitress was more than adequate but not overly friendly. She did suggest the fried mozzarella sticks which were the highlight of our visit- probably the best cheese sticks I ever had. They do not give a discount for Disney Chase members I guess because they are a third party. My biggest pet peeve was when paying my bill the waitress stands there with a credit card machine and you have to do the tip in front of her which I think is awkward and inappropriate.
Food- 3 stars- I got the soup of the day with a grilled cheese. The soup was good and the grilled cheese was dry and not so cheesy. I have had better at Dennys. We also got the bacon cheeseburger which was decent but nothing to bragg about. Not a bad place to eat but there a lot better choices on Disney property.

Nearly every resort has some sort of sports bar and the Coronado Springs Resort is no different. If you’re looking for fairly priced dishes and a table to watch sports at, Rix is the place to go. The food here is a little bigger in proportion to other restaurants in the resort, so that only adds more value to your order. The drinks here are also poured a bit more heavily, which compliments the pub atmosphere. The place is clean, the bar is stocked full, and the food is good. Overall, a good place to hang out and get some drinks or have dinner at.

Rix Sports Bar and Grill is a nice spot to unwind at Coronado Springs. They offer fun cocktail options and a small but decent beer selection. The staff are friendly and make the experience enjoyable. The appetizers are tasty and pair well with a drink. If you’re staying at the resort, it’s definitely worth stopping by for a casual evening.

The bartender was great, she was friendly and I have no complaints about the service. The food on the other hand was quite disappointing. My Caesar salad was just a plate of cheap crappy ice berg lettuce, pre cooked weird chicken (like the kind you get in a bag from grocery store) and I had to ask for Parmesan cheese, literally the worst Caesar salad I’ve ever had. $22 was a complete rip off.
Yeah, skip the food here cause if they can’t get a basic salad right I wouldn’t even try anything else.
