I’m not sure how this place has a 4.6 rating. It feels more like a 3.5 to 4.2. The service was excellent, but the food lacked flavor overall.
When you walk in, you’re immediately given sourdough bread, which was good but would have been much better if it were warmed up. They handed us the regular menu even though there was a lunch special available, which wasn’t mentioned.
The salad was very good, but the rest of the food was bland. We had the salmon, which was lacking in flavor, and the chicken francese, which didn’t stand out and was also quite bland. The pasta was undercooked.
On the positive side, everyone enjoyed the calamari, and the desserts, particularly the cheesecake and chocolate cake, were very good.
Overall, while the service was strong, the food did not live up to the hype.

We had a very nice family celebration dinner on a Wednesday evening. The food was tasty, the service on point and portions large. The price was reasonable. It’s a great neighborhood restaurant.
You have to call to make reservations as they’re not linked to reservation apps.
Paid meter parking in front.
We had the mussels in red sauce, tri color salad, grilled vegetables, angel hair seafood pasta, porkchop special, breaded trout risotto special and bottle of Chianti. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu and pistachio gelato cup. Everything was delicious and had good flavor. Per other reviews, we avoided salmon (which is usually overcooked in most restaurants) and the chicken. The tri color salad was very good in flavor and the red sauces for mussels and pasta were full of flavor.
If you want warm bread, you can request to have it warmed.
Overall, this was a very nice dinner with lovely staff with bow ties.
Highly recommend.

Hello. I recently moved into the neighborhood and was looking for a good place to have dinner. A neighbor recommended this place. I stopped in and was greeted by the Manager at the door which opened for me. I got a table by the door right away. Restaurant was already plenty busy after 5 o clock. I ordered Pollo Piccata with a glass of Sauvignon wine . Waiters were very polite and accommodating. Dinner was more than good. It was great. I’ll be back soon and bring my lady. Thank you for your accommodations

Delicious Italian food, generous portions, great prices, and friendly service. Really would be difficult to ask for any more than this.

The food was absolutely delicious! There was a list, but expected for a Saturday night! The manager was so kind providing us a chair to sit and wait outside. The wait wasn’t very long, and it was totally worth it! We ordered the fried calamari, baked class, chicken and egg plans parms, and other dishes. The food was amazing. Great portions and delicious! The staff was very caring, checked in on us, and just an overall friendly family atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!

Grew up in Beechhurst and somehow never visited Riviera till last night. Went with a friend at 5pm and was asked if we had a reservation. We didn’t but thankfully snagged a table before the entire restaurant filled. The service was amazing, the wait staff was so friendly and the dining room was bustling. Got the calamari to start and then the eggplant parm with pasta which could have easily fed two people. Can’t wait for excuse to come back and left with leftovers for days.

This time it is little early 5:30 and Sunday, right on time there were long table with 85th birthday and they were done before 6. After 6 o’clock he people started to come in and finally packed and some waiting outside.
All the food we had tonight were delicious. My company enjoyed the baby lamb ribs❤️❤️❤️.
The waiters were good, and they serve the food quick.
As always we had a great time❤️

I been going to this restaurant for a while now, I travel way out on Long Island (Port Jefferson) so I pass several restaurants along the way. This is the only Italian restaurant were the food is literally off the charts. Every thing is so tasty. You have to try the stuff artichokes. Some times when I’m leaving manhattan I will call them and have them make me 4 to go , and bring them home to the family. You will always find the owner Danny open the door for you & greets you. Danny runs the best Italian restaurant period. If you don’t like it I will personally pay for your meal., and then give you money to go to the restaurant of your choice. That’s how confident I am that you will not be disappointed. Tell Danny JohnnyBoy from Long Island sent you

Our dining experience at Rivera restaurant was delightful! Welcoming personal and excellent services.
The grilled calamari was a perfect start—fresh and tender. On specials was pappardelle with chopped veal, dried tomatoes and mushrooms was a standout, boasting large portions of homemade pasta. To top it off, the homemade tiramisu was the perfect sweet conclusion. A must-try for those seeking quality Italian cuisine.
