Unique feel and atmosphere. A triangular building that sort of has the city block to itself. Neat little patio, large dining room and an upstairs.
The food is excellent. It is not the typical Deep South menu, but has what you are looking for. The dishes are elevated, but in a good way. Not just pretentious add-ons.
The tuna dishes are out of sight. The tuna nachos are a must try. Served over pasta chips, sushi grade tuna, avocado, edamame, radish and an excellent, fresh sauce.
The tuna melt sandwich is 5 ⭐️!
The seared tuna entree is killer, in a good way.
Charbroiled and raw oysters are excellent.
The Cubano is a nice change from the tuna or the burger if you’re looking for something else.
The filet is tender, cooked perfectly and satisfies that beef desire.
You really can’t go wrong with any dish.
Finally, you must try the Parmesan truffle fries. Crispy, salty fried deliciousness. Just the right amount of truffle and parm. These are worth the trip.
PS they have a dessert that are individually fried bread pudding cubes. Served with ice cream, caramel drizzle and it is out of sight! It’s the perfect dessert bite, or two or three….!
Great service. Good bar selection. This place has it all.
Atmosphere: Relaxing and good vibe
Recommend: Cesar Salad, Parm Truffle Fries, Brisket Spring Rolls
Pricing: Decent for the large portion sizes
Highly recommend for any occasion. 🙂 But it’s definitely more casual rather than upscale. Love the family feel they have going. Give them a try!
Drinks:
— Jalapeño peach margarita. This was so great that I got a second.
Starters:
— Lettuce wraps. HIGHLY recommend!! I had the wrap with the filet and was VERY impressed.
— Sausage cheese plate. I didn’t have every item on the plate, but I ENJOYED the watermelon rind and I do not eat watermelon at all. I also had the cucumber. Otherwise not much to write home about.
Entrees:
— Chicken Athena. Those who had this (about 3 or 4 at our table) were not impressed with it.
— New York Strip. It was actually decent — prepared to my specifications. The added mushrooms were a little too done for my liking, but I would go back to try it for sure.
Dessert:
— Banana crème brûlée. I’m sorry, but I do not recommend lol. It seems restaurants in MS do not know how it’s supposed to be prepared and that’s sad.
— Chocolate bourbon pecan pie a la mode. I did not try this but the ones that did were not over the top about it.
— Chocolate molten. They said this was doable but it was not better than the popular pizza chain that serves them lol. I’ve never had either so I have nothing to say lol
— “County Fair Style” bread pudding. RAVE RAVE RAVE reviews. This was AMAZING! If you get no other dessert, definitely get this. I’m not a bread pudding person but this was…everything.
