Absolutely some of the best food we have had in PA. Will be returning here when we get back up this way. Had the daily special Brisket Burrito with a side of fries covered in the best gravy I’ve ever had we also got philly cheese steak which was fantastic. Do yourself a favor and get the fries with gravy, thank me later.

We arrived and waited to be seated as the sign says. We stood there for a few minutes, no one came to serve us. Then suddenly a waitress from the bar behind us asked us if we are dining in. We chose to sit indoor, and we had three people. Out of 5-6 empty tables, she asked us to sit in the corner that can only fit 2 people, and she asked us to pull another chair to sit 3 of us there. We refused and sat on a bigger table. We sat there and waited for 15 minutes, no one came to greet us or asked us for drinks. When she finally came to ask us for drinks (same lady), she asked us to order without giving us a menu. We had to wait for another 10-15 mins for the drinks to arrive….. then waited for another hour for the food to arrive.

Had the smoked pulled pork with beans and potato salad. Pork had good flavor but was dry. Potato salad was very good. Beans were good. Waitress was nice. Parts of the service were slow caused by backup of bartender and cook. Onion Rings were good and ordered as an appetizer but had to ask for them and didn’t come out until after meals were brought out. One in our party waited a long time to get a Quesadilla…most everyone was almost finished with their meals before she got it. We would go back and try them again.

The BBQ is inconsistent. We have had good meals there, but our last visit was terrible. The ribs are overly dry, pulled pork super dry and very small portion. The steak used to be awesome but it was swimming in the juice of the sides which made it unappealing. The last thing is the cornbread is from Sam’s Club and they are charging $3 per piece. Really disappointed. 2 stars because the hot pepper cheese balls are great.

Met some friends at the bar , first time there. Plenty of parking, bar area was very clean and we’ll lit. Bartender was professional and made a drink without hesitation and exactly as I like it made with out needing to ask questions. And while a simple drink to make , many places I have been the staff struggle with understanding the concept of what a tall mixed drink means. No smoking, when we left some patrons were smoking out side and very courteously took several steps back in the am parking lot to keep smoke from coming out way. Very Pleasant experience overall.

The food makes up for the atmosphere which is truly “roadhouse”. Friendly staff and very cold beer add to the excellent food. The potato salad must be based on a homemade recipe because it’s just like grandma’s.

Service was mediocre. 3 stars for that. Food was poor, 1 star for that. Burger was severely undercooked. They claim their beef comes from Ulrich’s in Elimsport. I personally buy beef from Ulrich’s every year, and the burgers at this establishment are definitely not Ulrich’s beef. They are frozen burger patties right off the Sysco truck, which is the cheapest most horrible ground beef available. The “gravy” on the poutine fries is straight out of a bottle. YUCK!

Amazing nachos on homemade tortilla chips. So different from the normal bar nachos. Absolutely delicious. Cornbread was delicious as well.
