It may not look like much on the outside when you drive up, but the inside was completely remodeled in the last few years and there is more inside than you expect and everything is well organized and the place is clean and tidy. Especially for locals in the neighborhood vicinity, this place is a GREAT convenience to avoid having to drive over to Lake Shore and the price is only marginally higher than stores there. They have a very nice beer selection, including some good craft beers, a nice selection of basic grocery items (ex. eggs, milk, bread), as well as chips and snacks. Good selection of wines and liquors with occasional specials. And a very nice hot and cold food area where you can get many options made to order. We ordered an Italian Hoagie, which was the same price as most other places, and it had a generous helping of meat and toppings and tasted delicious. While they aren’t excessively friendly, they are nice and helpful and run a tight and clean little shop that everyone appreciates. Give it a try!!

My. Nephew told me that this place made a great Italian Sub, so we stopped there today, and it was a GREAT ITALIAN SUB, I will be back, and bought a large bottle of wine, at a great price. Great service nice people. Thank you Riverside

Heard about their bourbon selection from a friend and decided to stop in. This place is an absolute GEM. A.) They’ve got all kinds of bourbon. B.) The place was spotless. C.) Just finished my breakfast sandwich and decided I had to come leave a review. Not many places around like this anymore. Will definitely be going back.. a lot.

I thought I reviewed this place a long time ago – oops! We live in the neighborhood and LOVE Riverside. They have everything we ever want/need, and are super personable and friendly. The food is great (best wings and subs), the place is always clean, and the liquor side has a ton of options you don’t see elsewhere. They’re also open early and late which is awesome. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!

I was working in the area last week & when lunch time came I walked in this spot although it doesn’t seem like much on the outside the inside was nice & organized they even had food & let me tell you I got the Buffalo spicy chicken wings & boyyyyyyyy them wings were more than good could say they are the best I’ve ever had! The family and the workers that run the store are some of the nicest people in Pasadena. To be honest, I have seen few places in the area that are as personable with all the customers as Dave and the rest who work and run the store.
The prices on prepared food are among some of the best for your money in the area. Since they’ve opened I haven’t had a miss on anything we’ve ordered, and that’s been quite a lot of different items. Their wings are always crunchy and cooked to order, their steak/cheese steaks are always full, and I know my lady likes their deli sandwiches as well, and the kids usually go for munchies like mozzarella sticks, or a breakfast sandwich, which they’re nice enough to make well past breakfast time. Although if you need an eye opener, they have breakfast sandwiches nice and early.
Their liquor selection is great, especially for the size of the store. They have all your standards, as well as fine selection of wine and craft brew. If you’re looking for a bit of a stiffer drink, have no fear, as they’ll have what you want, whether you’re looking for the a bottle of tequila or a premade beverage.
They also have your everyday “I just ran out of…” pantry staples, along with a variety of soft drinks, snacks, ice cream, and other sundries. Also, cigarettes, just in case your loved one is having a nic-fit when they open. The store is always clean, and even when busy, customers are taken care of and expedited so their isn’t usually much of a wait at all. There’s also plenty of parking across the street if the spaces out front are taken up.

Was a friends house nearby, wanted to buy some subs, and they immediately recommended Riverside. Drove the 5 minutes … Met the friendly staff, ordered 3 subs, subs were ready in 5 minutes, and had reasonable prices. My cheesesteak was delicious and my friends turkey sub was packed full of meat! They have great variety of options. Have already told several people of this place. I will definitely will be back!!!

Love this convenient place that is in walking distance. Have the best sausage, egg and cheese croissant, cheaper than fast food restaurants. Subs are on fresh rolls from bakery downtown. Wings and onion rings are delicious and reasonable! Very friendly staff.

It looks like a tiny shop at the bottom of a neighborhood, but don’t let looks deceive. They have a great selection of liquor, best in the area, including stuff I have yet to see anywhere else. and they will custom order stock. also, great little market with hand-made subs. they have done great since they bought it!
