My hubby brought us in for breakfast and the overall vibe was really good. The waitresses were super sweet, everybody in the diner was speaking to each other, and the music added a nice touch. Real cozy, local energy.

As for the food.. it’s simple, classic diner food. Nothing fancy, nothing over the top. It hits the spot when you’re hungry, but I do wish a few things had a little more seasoning. Still good enough to enjoy, and the portions were definitely solid.

If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with friendly service and a chill atmosphere, this is a nice place to stop by.

I order from them all of the time and had the worst experience ever speaking with the owner Steve. I originally called to make a complaint about how every time I order it’s barely chili or cheese on the chili cheese fries so I pay for extra and each time I receive my order it’s still barely any chili or cheese. Immediately the owners response was well I know for a fact nothing leaves here with barely anything on it and asked if I could bring them in. No car and was on lunch and never requested a refund originally but was on the phone listening to the owner tell me it’s not logical to ask for a refund with no proof and the entire time I was on the phone I couldn’t even finish a sentence. Terrible owner customer service and didn’t even bother to offer a resolution and I order from them more than 1 time a week. Coney fries are always dry and even when you pay for extra still only gets bare minimum but no issues with me paying for food I expect to be received the way I ordered it.

Don’t eat there I bought a Cobb salad. It looked like it was made yesterday the chicken was old and hard. and I payed 13 and gave a tip. I left the salad on the counter they refuse to make me another or give me my money back. So I guess they got me for 15 thats with a tip. The first two salad was there’s and the other two salads where I went some where else alpha coney on fort street in Detroit. I called my order in it was a take out.

I just left from this Coney which Is right around the corner from me. Service usually isn’t bad, but I guess it depends on who’s servicing. It wasn’t busy when I came in. There was only two people in line; one lady in front of me getting her order taken, and a guy waiting to pay for his. After the lady was done ordering i figured the the cashier an older lady taking her order would take my order. She didn’t. She turned around and acted like I wasn’t even there, even after looking at me. So I stood there waiting for her or the other lady that was waiting tables to at least acknowledge me. I would say roughly 3 minutes pass when the lady waiting tables came to the register to get a customer tab I guess. She asked was I waiting for something. Like yeah im standing here for a reason. So she asked if I wanted to place a order. I placed my order and while I waited an order came out that wasn’t mine that the older lady almost handed to me. The same order that she took of the lady ahead of me. Like what the hell are you paying attention to ol bird? The food was fine. Coney is Coney, but the lack of courtesy really irked my nerves.

After my wife purchased souvenirs we met next door at Riverside Coney Island. I created the Poundtown Burger Wowed, Double Bacon Cheeseburger I added Gyro Meat n Feta . Yes I devoured the whole thing, what a fantastic Burger . The owner himself was happy to make this for me, you want one just ask for the Poundtown Burger . She had a fantastic Omelette with Taters spot on wonderful . This place is kept up very well. It is clean, the prices are very reasonable and the food is decent.

When I ate here, I ordered the Mexican omelette. It had tomatoes, peppers, cheese and chili in it. It was flavorful and quite filling. It was served with hashbrowns and toast. It was all for under $10.

The person that I was with ordered the loose burgers and they looked good as well.

The variety on the menu was pretty good. While it’s not very deep, it does have some dinners, such as hot turkey sandwiches and meatloaf sandwiches. I don’t know if they are any good, but being that they have them says more than many other coneys in the area.

The service was pretty good. The waitress seemed like she was on top of things. It also didn’t take too long for our food to be served; just a few minutes.

Overall, this place has great prices, large portions, flavorful food, and efficient service. They also have a selection of dinners. It’s just about all you could ask for out of a coney.

I won’t eat there anymore, which is a shame – the food is basic, nothing fancy, but really good, and the servers are always friendly. Plus, it’s convenient. I won’t eat there anymore though because of the atmosphere – every time I’ve been there my last few visits other patrons are listening to their phones on speaker – every time! This most recent time, I didn’t even sit down – guy had his phone on so loud I barely heard the server greet me… I’m done with that; the social experiment of forcing other people to listen to your crap is over, and it failed. It’s annoying and it’s rude and I won’t patronize any place that allows it.

I bought a grilled chicken pita from here nd while I was eating my sandwich I noticed that my lettuce was old I called up there the boss told me to bring the food back when I got up there then I was told that I can’t get a refund because I ate it but I explained to him that I was eating when I noticed it and then he told me lettuce gets brown and soggy after being on chicken but not one piece of lettuce was nice and crunchy. DO NOT ENTER THIS PLACE YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A RFUND IF YOUR FOOD IS IMPROPERLY COOKED

First I would like to say my Ruben came with no Russian dressing which the man told me I had to ask for but the real problem was him not taking accountability for the long hair in my chili cheese fries. ( They have no employees with black hair) I was told I could bring it back but that defeats getting it DoorDashed. He had a poor attitude and clearly hasn’t been trained properly how to deal with said issue. I know accidents happen but poor attitudes are a choice.
