Making clear this was in Derby not the restaurants in Wichita. I was meeting a friend for coffee. Right away we were rushed to order….server got a little huffy that we weren’t ready to order. Food came right away was good like normal nothing spectacular. Had to ask twice for coffee refill. Server brought check….cleared plates. Came back by 10 minutes later and put a reserved sign on our table. Restaurant was getting a little busy but there were at least 5 dirty tables that people were sitting at waiting to be cleaned. The guy a manager I think came along and picked up the two straws laying on our table. I just thought that was so very rude. I’m probably not going to go there again since there seems to be a time limit on how long we can stay and visit.

We order their food through door dash, and one of our family members is extremely picky. But, they never give us any issues when we call in to make sure our weird request was received. They always deliver kindly! The portions are great for the price and the food is great. It is nice for this house hold of disabled people to get a nice dinner meal delivered without the fuss. Riverside Cafe impressed me with the best omelette I’ve ever had, it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, even during a busy rush. The noise level was a bit high, but that’s expected in a cozy, bustling spot full of happy diners. Highly recommend!

Driving home from family Christmas craziness and decided to pull off the beaten path and try this spot for breakfast. If the breakfast is any inclination of what the rest of the food is like then you’d better stop and try it out. Not a single complaint can be made about this place. The staff is moving and grooving, spier friendly and extremely attentive. I have the Hungry Woman, So Much Food but oh so good and perfect to share with your husband even if he is full from his massive omelet The price is definitely fair for the amount of food you are getting. Bathroom was clean, you can tell there is someone tending to it regularly. If you have not been, do not sleep on this spot!

Our server wasn’t very active, the table was missing napkins as well. I ordered Hashbrowns covered in melter cheese, 2 eggs scrambled, bacon, and a waffle. The Hashbrowns had cheese sprinkled on top and were cold. The waffle was just okay, very crunchy. I felt like I kept having to ask for refills on drinks. The eggs were just okay, it didn’t have any salt or seasonings. Our friend ordered biscuits & gravy, and the biscuits were freezing cold still! I will not be returning in the future.
