2nd time from Eastern NC while visiting.
Friendly staff, decent food.
Cook wasn’t as good as first visit, our eggs were “cold” and over cooked. My french toast was tasty, grits were cold though.

First time trying out Riverside Cafe today. The people and atmosphere were great! I got the baked ham and cheese omelet with a side of potatoes and onions. All of it was delicious. The potatoes and onions took me back to my childhood. My biscuit was okay but I’ll probably try the toast next time. It wasn’t as light and fluffy as I usually like. Our waitress and the young lady at the cash register were both very nice. We’ll definitely go back. Lol. I’m sure my youngest will want to try the chocolate chip pancake.

Great little diner. Really the biggest flaw is more parking than seating so I can imagine it l can get rough to get in during rushes but we squeaked in.

Probably one of the most down to earth wholesome places I have been in the United States. Food was great. I could explain but this post would be so long because I ordered too much and ate it all. If I travel that way again I’ll stop and probably drive a little out of my way to go again it was so good.

The food was good..my server was very disinterested and distracted so that was annoying. If I wanted someone who’s constantly annoyed and put out by having to wait of me, I would just do fast food. When you are paying more money to dine in, you expect a server that isn’t annoyed by your presence. I probably won’t eat there again just for this reason.

Great waitress. Asked about time frame for food because of Dr appointment. Manager or money collector snapped, “tell them to get fast food if they are in a hurry “. Very rude. Waitress kept apologizing. She was the best.
