Great place for students on/off campus and visitors, during school hours this place is packed so lines could mean longer wait, since it’s not a “Starbucks” the selection is limited here but they have amazing sandwiches and wraps! The prices are pretty high so be prepared to spend a good amount but the food is worth the price but the coffee isn’t the best but it’s also not going to have that true Starbucks taste.

I asked for 5 scoops of matcha in my drink, they didn’t write the quantity of what I asked for on the cup and when I drank it, and it tasted like the standard 3 scoops. When I asked to make sure they put 5 scoops in, the barista said they did, and told me it was the standard Starbucks scoop size. However, I regularly get a 5 scoop matcha from Starbucks and it tasted like the standard scoop amount. I asked if they could give me another scoop since it didn’t taste how it usually did and I feel like the barista was not very helpful and didn’t provide good customer service given the situation. They said if I wanted to add more I’d have to pay extra, even though, again, it tasted like the standard 3 scoops and I’m not sure how they would remember me ordering 5 scoops if they didn’t write it on the cup. I would’ve just drank it but I paid $11 for this drink and I figured I should at least enjoy it for my money’s worth. I paid for the 2 extra scoops and I got left with green sugar milk even though I specifically asked for what I wanted. Overcharged and underdelivered.

Friendly service! Love the local touches, like the mural of the local river on the wall and the food items named after local river locations. While it’s not a full SB menu, it is nice to have someplace to grab our favorite coffees from SB without having to go all the way to Tulsa. Sometimes seating area is a bit crowded since it’s on Campus, but a nice place to sit a chat a while and they have a patio area as well. This place is fairly regular stop for us and it was a good addition for our town.

I have OCD, and have gotten a chicken sandwich with extra pickles at Chick-fil-A down the hall for practically every dinner since arriving at NSU, because trying new foods makes me anxious. However, when Chick-fil-A failed me (closed on a particularly bad Friday) I was forced to try a turkey sandwich from rivers edge, which, not bad, for not liking turkey or mayo. All that said, I used the pickle to get through half of my sandwich and I could pretend I was eating my beloved chicken sandwich. However, I was left with no more pickle and too much sandwich, so I approached the counter, fearfully, as a broke college student with literally NO extra money, no, not even a few cents, and bravely requested an extra pickle for free. The front desk girl whispered “don’t tell anyone” and gave me an extra pickle on a plate. I’m crying eating a turkey sandwich, which really just tastes like pickles, because it’s almost all pickle. Anyways. 10/10 service, thank you for making a stressful day a little easier

This is a super neat place on the campus of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Ok. Love it! And it might be a Starbucks but it’s the people there that makes it wonderful at River’s Edge.
