I dined here on Thanksgiving. The food was good. The seating by the window facing the river was enjoyable. I remember dining here decades ago prior to the renovation and it is such an improvement.

We waited over an hour at the table for our food, and when it arrived it was pretty inedible. The salmon was like shoe leather and so was the steak. The prices are pretty expensive at this place considering what you get. Our server also rudely snapped at us when we asked if there was pasta available only to find out later that they have a kids menu that was never offered to us even though we had a toddler with us.

While I loved my dish, short rib ragu was on point, however; there were a few lesser delightful meals. The clam chowder was not award winning… very limited amount of minced clams, hard potato’s, over powering onion and not a very complimentary cream base. The margarita pizza was likable, but far to little cheese for our liking, it may be perfect for you. Salads were small and uninspiring, toppings were good. Service was wonderful, friendly and attentive. Price point wasn’t terrible, but improvements can be made to make that number more… dare I say… palatable.

We just went there for restaurant week lunch and were very impressed. The quality of food was great, everything was fresh, well-prepared, impressive-size portions (we had to take deserts home), especially for the special menu. The place also has a beautiful view of the river and the service is very professional.

I asked if the brussel sprouts where crispy and they said they could steam them up for me. They came soft and steamed. Not what I came for. They were alright not great. Chowder was okay.

I too have done the potato challenge at Riverbend bar and grill, and it is amazing I had the expensive cab Sav, the potatoes were unbelievable. I recommend the chefs special. The environment is secluded, intimate and beautiful. The tiramisu will make you cry.

You’re eating here because you’re in the hotel and don’t have a choice. Wait staff was rude. They have three different menus depending if you use the app or look in the room or go to the restaurant. It says delivery available but I was told they don’t do that. I stood at the host stand where it said to wait for a host, but the staff stared at me and just walked away. When I ordered for pickup the man was offended that I came to the restaurant to pick it up and told me to go to the lobby instead. Food sort of tasted like McDonald’s at three times the price. Fries were good though, so you have that to look forward to.

I ate breakfast every morning, it was excellent. The Eggs Benny add cheese with a side of bacon is excellent. About $20. Pricey but worth it. I also had Marriotts standard wing dish, pretty much the same at all Marriott, all consistently excellent. Staff is A++++++ and totally went over and above.
