The location is very nice, right on the Dolores River, which at this time of year is flowing with snow melt. One of our favorite spots in the area! Pictures from McPhee Reservoir which the Dolores river flows into.

On a cross country road trip, a quick Google Maps search for local eats and found this gem. Walked in and explored the patio and was blown away with the setup. Greeted with smiles and was immediately asked what we wanted to drink.
Food is amazing. Famous River Burger is a necessity and the fries are homemade.y dad got the fish and says it was top notch. Highly recommend if you’re driving by the area!

This is a review of the new place, The River Bar and Grill, I really wanted to love it, but even the fabulous location on the river can’t make up for the poor service and food. Tried it 3 times and they comped part of our bill on the last 2 visits. I’d rather have a good meal and pay for it. We won’t be back to eat, but if we’re in town already we MAY stop for a drink on the patio.

Just had dinner at the River Front Bar And Grill. Probably the best site in the area for a restaurant. Right on the river. Beautiful setting. And it ends there. A waitress, one that was in need of some training, took our orders. Quite some time passed and we finally asked a different waitress if we could get our drinks. I think our waitress had forgotten us. Mine and my husband’s order came. We were almost through eating before anyone else was served. We were all through eating when my grand daughter’s pizza finally came. Not once during our meal did our waitress stop by to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything. We got up and found our own salt and pepper and ketchup. I would say the food was okay but not worth the poor service. Oh, and did I mention the cleanliness of the place? NOT! We sat on the deck. I’m not sure if it was ever swept let alone washed. French fries and all kinds of other debris in the cracks. Well we go back? Probably not. We are local and every year or so we go there to give it a try again. Sorry to say we are disappointed. A few years ago it was a great place for good food and a beautiful setting. We went there often. Not any more.

If you’re ever in Delores and want a great place for food and cold suds, check this lil dive out. Right on the river in town with great staff and food. The river bar and grill is a terrific place to grab a bite and a drink or two. Great outdoor seating on the patio or down by the river. Either way it’s a cool way to spend some time with family and friends enjoying a little bit of what Delores Colorado has to offer.

Great location, Dolores river right on their patio area. Really good restaurant. They weren’t allowing pool, and their attitude wasn’t good. Seemed upset that another location might be coming in. First experience here, and wasn’t a fan. Seems like management needs work if they wish to continue in the food industry. Food wasn’t bad, and the drinks were ok too

Unbelievably terrible. If I could rate it in negative stars I would. I came here for the beautiful patio and that’s exactly what we got. Zero service, multiple walk outs, very clearly under the influence staff, a server on her phone smoking a cigarette in the door entry way, our nachos took over an hour, they forgot half the order, and the server asked if we heard to bell like we were supposed to get our own food. New owners be warned you’re only a few months away from bankruptcy. I’ve been a manager/server/bartender for 15 years and this was the first tab I ever walked out on. Once, I’m done fuming I’ll gladly walk back in to pay for my two beers consumed because I’m an honest individual but this was truly awful. Don’t post on your sign full menu being served and under new ownership. Disaster!

We sat our self’s we had to go to the bar and order our drinks and ask if anyone was going to take our order. Finally after the second trip to the bar we had a server show up to take our order. I also guess if you are friends with the owner you can smoke in the no smoking area right next to all the no smoking signs. Real classy place. Dont waste your money unless you know the owners…
