Top points for ambiance, it’s a very cozy and romantic place with dim lighting and many nooks and crannies that create privacy. The shrimp ceviche, more of a cocktail since it tasted cooked, but was dry and not tasty. The vegetable lasagna was a good balance between light and decadent, a good main if you are not very hungry. The cheesecake was okay, the flavor not very cheesy. The staff is friendly and very attentive, and they checked in on me regularly. Definitely go for the ambience.

Went here while on an overnight getaway from NYC. We arrived much earlier than our reservation and they still sat us right away. The ambience is modern-cozy. Great cocktail and wine selection (a couple of very unique wines too!). The servers were very attentive and the owner was incredibly kind. Loved the crispy artichoke hearts and schnitzel. I had the tuna tartare as my main and it was a perfect amount. I wish the French fries were a little crispier but considering that my only “complaint,” I am NOT complaining!

We tried this place for the first time last night and the experience was underwhelming. The food was not bad, but it also wasn’t great, and service was lacking and scattered. Though our waiter was friendly, we saw him exactly 3 times during our meal, when he first took our order, when he cleared our appetizer plates, and at the end when I requested the check and he dropped off the tablet and said thanks and walked away. We were greeted warmly upon entry and given our choice of three different seating areas and asked our preference for water. Our waiter came by shortly after and we ordered a cocktail, an appetizer and our entrees. My cocktail came out very quickly, and the appetizer followed about 15 minutes later. The waiter did not check on us during the appetizer. We sat there with empty plates for a bit and my empty cocktail glass sat on the table for at least 10 to 15 minutes, which isn’t a terrible amount of time, but I wanted another one. Our waiter came by to clear the appetizer plates and I asked him for another cocktail before he noticed my empty glass. Cocktails came out very quickly and were well-made, the Wasps Kiss was absolutely delicious, as was The Snow Bird. The Ahi tuna appetizer was tasty, well seasoned, and well prepared. The entrées came and my husband‘s short rib was hearty and well plated, but my swordfish was disappointing. When the staff member brought out our entrées, she tilted my plate towards me, dripping juice onto the table in front of me for which she apologized, but did not wipe. The mash with the short rib was very creamy, the short rib itself was very tender and falling apart, but my husband felt it needed more salt but was saved by the gravy. My swordfish entrée was fine, however, it lacked salt and any discernible seasoning. My rice was cold, the pineapple salsa on top of the fish was ok, and had the waiter come by I would’ve asked for salt, but he didn’t. The meal was filling, but not necessarily satisfying. Another staff member cleared our plates and asked if we wanted dessert, but I requested the check. The waiter came by and dropped off the kiosk, said thanks, and walked away. For $140 I expected a better meal and service. We ended up going somewhere else for another drink and an appetizer. The whole experience felt kind of perfunctory. Service was scattered and inattentive and so was the food. The restaurant was packed by the time we left, but this was our first and last visit.

We went for our anniversary celebration. We were pleasantly greeted and seated quickly. Our waitress came and took our drink and appetizer order. She set the can of cider down with a frosted glass and when I proceeded to pour the cider, I noticed black specs floating in the cider and then noticed black chunks that resembled potentially bugs on the rim. In the mean time, our appetizer had come out and we still hadn’t seen our waitress to order our meal and report the incident and had to ask the kitchen staff member who brought the food to send her back. The waitress returned and did semi- apologize for the situation and brought the can back to the kitchen. The bartender did come out and say something to the effect as he notified the owner and he was in Utah but he doesn’t know what happened and the can was in a case and he doesn’t know what it was. Food came out and it was semi lack luster- the brussel sprout appetizer was fantastic but the meals were pretty average. The waitress didn’t check on us at all during the meal and only upon bringing the electronic check, she wished us a happy anniversary (we had put it as a special occasion when making the reservation) and I asked me to make sure that she removed the cider from the check. She responded that they did but it wasn’t our fault and it wasn’t their fault that there was black stuff floating in the glass and on the rim and it was just the way it was. Definitely an off putting response. We were excited to make this an annual tradition for our anniversary but unfortunately we likely will not be back.

We went here for my mother in-laws birthday. The restaurant itself is clean, with a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. (I strongly recommend this place for a 1st date, anniversary, and mile stone birthdays) It has a very unique feel to it. Seating was comfortable, and the staff started right away with getting us situated.

We all ordered different starters and entrées. The food came out in order, to the right person and amazing. They refilled drinks appropriately and checked in often to make sure we had everything. Dinner was absolutely amazing. I was shocked with both the food and drink menu. None of the items on either are you typical run of the mill meals/drinks. Which is great when you’re looking to truly try something new.

We also had a 3 year old for you. I was very skeptical that she would be able to keep it together in this type of environment, but she seemed to really enjoy the low lights, snacks, and fine dining. The staff helped up pick an appropriate table and chair set up that would help us secure the booster seat that we had with us. They also didn’t rush us out when we were packing up. Everyone who interacted with us tonight was very friendly, polite, informative, and seems to genuinely want us to have a good experience.

Very cozy intimate ambience, perfect for a date night out. We got tuna tartare and beet, citrus burrata to start, both are great very refreshing. Entrees are a little disappointing in comparison to the wonderful appetizers. Grilled salmon was overcooked (I asked for medium rare) and scallops are ok. Though all the vegetables are a bit soggy and overdone. For dessert we got chocolate pots de creme which is great. Really wish the entrees are on par with the appetizers and dessert. Will come back for another visit to try out other dishes, hope they are better!

I had a wonderful dinner at River and Post. I highly recommend it! All the staff were very friendly and professional. It was easy to get a reservation on a Thursday night in August, even though the restaurant was clearly busy. The interior has a nice vibe with great lighting, colors, and table arrangements. The food was delicious: we had the kale salad, tuna tartar, Brussels sprouts, and scallops. It was the perfect amount of food for two people. And it was all dairy free and gluten free (one dish had to be slightly adjusted to make this possible and the chef was very accommodating.)
Overall, it’s a really sweet spot with good vibes and food ✨✨✨✨✨

Very friendly staff. Quaint interior and quiet neighborhood. Cocktails and dishes were good, close to excellent. Perhaps a little pricey, but the quality makes up for it it. Would definitely be pleased to return.

Lovely quaint family owned place, excellent service and food. My party of 5 couldn’t stop raving about their dishes. Very romantic interior, you aren’t rushed so a great spot for date night. We arrived at 5 pm on a Saturday and the place was quite full when we left at 8 with a few couples waiting for seating. Sergio and his family run an excellent establishment and we’ll be back again.
