The best and most authentic Mexican food in CT, the staff is always pleasant and busts out delicious food in spite of being extremely busy all the time and will never hold you hostage at the time of paying like most places forcing you to tip which is unheard of nowadays, this makes me wanna tip even more than any other place. Amazing food, amazing people. Any one star review can go take a hike!

Nice salsa but tacos were fairly dry and mildly flavored. Al pastor was definitely just seasoned chopped pork. Carne asada beef was pretty dry

I happened upon this diamond in the rough. Beautiful presentation, ala carte, high value, low price. The salsa was mucho outstanding, again, mucho mucho homemade red hot sauce, the tacos were overstuffed and under $3 each, you heard me right folks. Great atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. I highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious food! I went on a road trip to CT and wanted some food, did a quick search of the area via Google maps based on where I was, Rivas Taqueria was the best choice. The food is priced right BUT the FLAVOR was absolutely on only had a vegetarian burrito, vegetarian quesadilla with rice & beans also complimentary chips. The food was fresh, the salsas were excellent

It was 4:45pm today when I visit Rivas tacos about the food can’t complain it was delicious but unfortunately they have a really bad cashier (don’t ask for her name) I clearly told her not to put onions and cilantro in my tacos the only thing the kitchen and her did was just removed the most cilantro they could, imagen if my husband was allergic to cilantro? my order was already paid and what she said to by husband when she brought the same plate (just removed few cilantro) was that I just told her no Onions ?? Really ?? They should treat customers well no matter if they’re about to closed! And the lady should pay more attention instead of blaming at the customer!!

These tacos are very authentic and delicious. The only concerns are that it’s a small and very busy place. Typically hard to get a table so we always eat out. Trying to get through to someone on the phone to place an order is always a hassle. But the service is friendly and the food is great. The complimentary chips and salsa are also great!

I really enjoyed most of my food. The Birria was not my fave but the rest of my tacos and fajita was good. Nice fresh ingredients and friendly staff. I would stop in again. Food barely has salt for enhancement so make sure to ask for a few packets if you get to go.

I hate to leave a bad review on a restaurant that had great service and a good atmosphere with A/C but the tacos I got were okay at best. If you are looking for low priced food, this is your place. My issue with the BBQ pork tacos and they were okay but nearly tasteless. Adding the lime juice that comes with the order helped but the meat was also dry and tough and had hardly any taste. I will try something else but this seems to be a place to go for low cost food if you are on a budget.
