I stood at the hostess station longer than I thought I should’ve, but once they saw me, I was seated quickly. She then brought my water and chips and salsa very quickly

The waitress took three or four minutes, said she was running around and I get it. She was busy.

(Side-note: As I am sitting here waiting to pay my bill I saw another gentleman at the front have to do the same thing to get her attention that I did. She’s obviously we’re getting them back as well.)

The smoked margarita was excellent! And honestly, the chips they bring you with the two salsa’s were very good as well as a big portion. Very mild however.

I had the three-way burrito. It was OK, should’ve read the menu better. If I had smothered with some kind of sauce or chili and cheese would’ve made it much better.

I also ordered one cheese and onion enchilada à la cart, it was the best thing I had today for sure.

Rice and beans were just average, Definitely needed a box to take home the leftovers lol.

I’ve visited both locations, and while I really enjoy the South Phoenix spot, my experience at the N Dobson Rd location in Mesa didn’t quite compare in terms of the food. The dishes here seemed to lean more towards the non spicy side, and shy away from the authentic flavors.

That said, the customer service was great, and the setting has a really nice atmosphere. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I truly appreciated.

I’m sharing this as constructive feedback because I know how great the food can be. I’m hoping it was just an off day, and that there can be a bit more consistency between locations. I’d definitely be open to giving it another try.

My son is celebrating his birthday today, 11 years old today, and is more of a savory guy rather than sweets. He requested three burritos from Ritos, stacked like a tier cake. I just want to thank Ritos for making my son such a fan, and also to Amy who tried to help with me ideas of how to pull this off. I’m sharing this photo in hopes Amy can see the outcome. Thanks again!

Most important note:
My daughter found a piece of plastic in her bean burrito. I attached a picture (penny for scale).

The food isn’t as good as the original’s location. It’s also more expensive.
The food is better than fast food, but just barely.
The atmosphere is like a trendy place, or night club. You wouldn’t have any idea of the menu until you see it. They could be serving sushi and ramen. That’s how unoriginal and peppy trendy it is. They should look like a comfy mexican place.

This place was EMPTY. The wait for food was still a bit though.

We found a piece of plastic in my daughter’s bean burrito. Pretty gross and unsafe. It ruined our appetite.

First time here, food is very good just like on Garfield and 14st, what’s different but good is that they have combos you can add rice and beans to any meal, unlike 14st, and unlike 14st they have a good chunkie salsa and the OG salsa also, also we had Alex as our server he was very good

This restaurant opened in the space formerly occupied by Matta’s. This is a more upscale Mexican restaurant, and the Enchilada sauce on the burrito was delicious. I ordered the street tacos with beef and potato. I thought that they missed putting the potato in, but our kind server told me that it was mixed in with the beef. Overall, nice environment and great service.

TL;DR:

Solid chips and salsa. HIGHLY recommend the shrimp tacos.

I had never been here before. Met an out-of-state friend at Bass Pro, and this was where we landed. Shrimp tacos were on special, so that’s what we ordered. My friend is a throat cancer survivor, so he can’t tolerate spicy food. The mild salsa was great for him – excellent flavor. The hot was decent for me, but not very hot – again, excellent flavor. We both agreed that the shrimp tacos were the best we’ve ever had. The spice was just right for him… enough to challenge his tolerance, yet not too much to be miserable – “reminds you that you’re alive,” were his words. It was so flavorful, more spice might have detracted from it.

The first time I came in about a year ago, the food was hot and delicious. Came in tonight and brought a few out-of-state clients after the Waste Management Open for dinner & business chat. I felt like the quality of food and the overall vibe has gone downhill. Our menus were dirty. They were out of queso. SIilverware was clean but very spotted with water marks. Margarita barely had any ice in it. Won’t likely be back nor recommend. It’s unfortunate because I like to support family-owned local businesses but this experience was embarrassing.

First time dropping in and we were so pleased with the attentiveness that LouAnne brought to the table. Her margarita was one of the best I’ve had and that’s coming from bartender to bartender. Very fresh and equally balanced. We didn’t eat, unfortunately but because of our experience, we can’t wait to try the food next!!!

This is our first visit to this establishment. The atmosphere was quiet, therefore not many people. Our host’s behavior was somewhat rude. Despite our request for a two-sided booth seat, she attempted to seat us at a partial booth with a stationary table and chairs. The chips served were cold and stale. The food quality was mediocre. It is notable that the restaurant only uses authentic shredded cheese upon request. Additionally, they utilize Velveeta cheese, which is not explicitly stated on the menu, and contains MSG and other unhealthy ingredients. The beans in our meal were topped with a combination of Velveeta cheese and a thin, butter-like layer. We ordered chicken, but it was imperceptible, both visually and in terms of flavor. Our waitress insisted that it was merely lightly shredded. Unfortunately, one member of our party experienced an allergic reaction to the MSG in the food. The restaurant’s à la carte pricing strategy may create the illusion of reasonable prices. However, most patrons seeking authentic Mexican cuisine typically expect rice and beans to be included with their meal. Unless you’re NOT seeking great service and high quality and authentic Mexican food, we wouldn’t recommend. Reason for two star, the waitress requested $5.35 off our tab for the inconveniences and having no Guacamole. Shown in photo is a very small Tostada called ‘Guacamole Tostada’ but with no Guacamole available and with thin layer of Velveeta cheese and beans, includes cold flour tortilla Burrito with Spanish rice and a thin layer of Velveeta and beans mixed. No beano!
