Rita’s is an amazing spot with a cozy, welcoming vibe and delicious food. We ordered the burgers and wings — both were outstanding! The wings were incredibly juicy and flavorful, and the burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare, just how we like it. The service was warm and friendly from start to finish, and we couldn’t get enough of the adorable duck-themed decor — such a charming touch! Can’t wait to come back.

We’re from St Louis and thoroughly enjoyed our visit in Lacon. Rita’s has a wonderful atmosphere, attentive staff, delicious food in ample portions. The scalloped potatoes were beyond compare. My favorite was the the freshly made corn fritters. The tenderloin was bigger than the plate! My mom ordered a large salad and it surpassed Anthony she expected. If you’re in Lacon stop by and enjoy!

Rita did an amazing job hosting our company event with 20 + people. She’s very easy to work with and the place was clean and accommodating. Food was amazing as well

Went for dinner here at 5 New Year’s Eve. Had a reservation for 8 they only had three tables with people at them in didn’t room. Waitress took our order. Took 7 minutes to get us our waters. Another 6 minutes to get us drinks we had ordered. No bread or corn fritters were brought out until side salads were brought out which took about another ten minutes from when we got our drinks. Waitress never once check for re fills at our table. Food was brought out about 30-40 minutes after ordering food was cold and orders were not correct. One person did not get the correct meal, the other person didn’t receive chicken until the end of the meal. Waitress never once apologized or checked in to see how we were doing.

We had to grab other waitresses to get our beverages refilled. Took our original waitress 30 minutes to get us our bill after she brought us to go boxes. We had to ask another waitress to see if our bills were were ready. We were at the restraint for a total of 2 hours and they were not even busy. Saw another waitress taking over our waitresses tables not good business at all. Will not be back.

My husband and I had dinner here in late October. We really wanted to like this new restaurant in town, but were sorely disappointed. I had the pork steak which was pretty good, my husband had the tortellini, which he said was “okay”, nothing to rave about. The cottage cheese with peaches I had as a side dish tasted generic: mediocre cottage cheese, canned peaches. I’d asked for steak sauce at one point and was handed a bottle that had sauce stains on the cap and label and the label was partially torn from the bottle…looked like it had been barely wiped off, if at all. The owner came by and asked how we were doing but walked away quickly without waiting for an answer. Suggestions: if you can’t afford the best quality food, don’t offer it. Have the best you can afford and have it be excellent. Listen to your customers…you want them to come back again. We were looking forward to having a nice local restaurant to take our kids to when they came to visit, but this one will not be on our list unless it improves.

We had a group of 19 with no reservation, just a hope. We got seated timely. With 19 we tried about everything. Fritters soft and delicious. Chicken was crispy and cooked to perfection. Spaghetti and tortellini was delicious. Service was excellent and prices reasonable. We will be back to Rita’s!

Our server was really great proving us with the information we needed to order with food allergies. The food just wasn’t very flavorful and was overcooked . Just add salt, it brings out the flavor in the food, it’s important for fish especially. The corn fritters were good.

They have the best corn fritters they were fluffy, they weren’t super dense and doughy. They were perfect. The chicken was crispy and well seasoned and my husband had the prime rib, which was excellent. We didn’t realize how much we missed the old Kenyons until Rita’s came back into town. Looking forward to future family dinners at Rita’s.

We had reservations for 12. When we got there, we checked in. There were 6 of us there and she asked how many of us were coming, we told her 12. Since we all weren’t there she didn’t seat us and walked away. We waited 10 minutes and I went and found the owner and told her we’d like to be seated. She asked us how many, I told her we had reservations for 12 and we wanted our table for 12. Once again she walked away and did not seat us. About 5 minutes later a waitress came and finally seated us. It took 45 minutes to get our food, some food was cold, some were over done. Never once did the owner apologize, only thing she said was people make mistakes. There were only 4 tables occupied when we got there. Would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND this place.

We went there for the first time since re-opened. Waited 20 minutes for a waitress and it was not busy. Another waitress asked if anyone had been to the table yet. Upon arriving, our waitress said she didn’t know she had a new table.? My dark fried chicken was over cooked. Baked potato was undercooked. Rita took the chicken back and brought out more overcooked chicken and put the plate in front of me without a word. Cole slaw, salad, chicken strips, spaghetti/tortellini and corn fritters were fine. As frequent visitors to Kenyon’s in the past, we were disappointed with this experience.
