I’m so glad I gave Empress Kitchen a try! After being let down by other Jamaican restaurants, I was skeptical at first, but this place truly exceeded my expectations. The curry chicken with wild rice and broccoli was absolutely delicious and reminded me of my dad’s cooking. The Red Ranger drink, made with beets and apples, was a refreshing surprise. The customer service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I’ve finally found a restaurant that I can wholeheartedly recommend – 100% thumbs up! This was a great decision. I got a plate of curry chicken with rice, cabbage, and fried plantains that was so good I started singing “Welcome to Jamrock” in the restaurant. Everything was hot, fresh, made to order, and seasoned to perfection. I would eat here everyday if I lived in the area. I cant wait to go back.

Massive soft tacos.We got the trio, salmon, shrimp and jerk. Yum! It would be great if the atmosphere was better, but I suppose you can take out. The wall street graphics and advertisements to buy 10 accounts for 10k-150k to get something free, were out of sync with restaurants theme, distracting, unwelcoming and off putting. This is a spot that I frequent often when I want to catch a quick vegan bite, and support a black family business. I frequently order the beyond tacos. I always get 2 to 3 orders. I just got back in town Thursday and wanted to check them out. I ordered 3 beyond tacos 2 orders for me and an order for my son we opened them and he said “Mum these are not done, it’s pink” So we went home and I recooked the meat. The next day Friday I called and ordered again. On the phone I stated that I wanted the meat cooked “Well Done” he said he understood. When I got there my order was already bagged and ready. I told him that I asked for well done, he had me check it and I explained that the meat was not cooked and it should not be mushy it should be like ground taco meat. He tried to say that it will decrease the meat but I explained to him that I come in for these all the time and never has my meat been pink and mushy. I took them and recooked them again. I spent over $40 on two “large” açaí bowls and was extremely disappointed. The bowls were nowhere near a true large size and missing several of the listed fruit toppings, there wasn’t even a full kiwi in either bowl. For that price, I expected quality and freshness, but instead everything looked and tasted like it had been sitting out all day.
The service was subpar, and overall the experience did not match the restaurant’s 5-star rating, which honestly shocks me after this visit. Overpriced, underwhelming, and not worth it. Spend your money elsewhere. I definitely won’t be returning.

Was a little hesitant in trying the new restaurant but was pleasantly surprised. We got the brown stew chicken and the ox tails. Portion sizes for the chicken and the sides were great. Flavor for both dishes were the best I’ve had in the Conyers area for Caribbean food. Only complaint is that the amount of Oxtails you get for $36 should have been more than what we received. All in all, this will be a go to for us.

A wonderful spot with LOTS of healthy, smart, delicious options! I had the jerk chicken tacos with mango chutney and the food is so fresh! The red ranger beet juice is amazing ! 10/5 recommend!

Met the chef right when we walked in. He told me about all the types of jerk they had. Even brought us a sample! I had the jerk pork and the wife had the oxtail. Both came with a spicy beans and rice and braised cabbage. Everything was very tasty if you like jetk. Not overpowering. Seating was uncomfortable in very tall bar like chairs. Only a couple of tables, so it must be a take out place. No adult beverages. I’d come back again.
