This was my first time visiting, and the service was excellent. The girl who helped us answered all of our questions, patiently accommodated our sample requests, and was very patient with us. I ordered the frozen vanilla custard, and let me just say, it was deliciouss! I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Galveston.

This place is so good! I tried the Reese’s sundae and it did not disappoint. My friend got the gelati. I felt left out so I went back the same day to get the gelati and that was good too! Try this place, you won’t be disappointed. The prices are very reasonable too!

This was my first time at Rita’s and we accidentally showed up right after they closed, but the girl who was working still took our order. She was so sweet so accommodating and patient with all of my endless questions. The veterans day deal was exceptional. We ❤️ Rita’s and America.

Had to visit because it reminded me of home. Being from the east coast abs recently moving to TX was a big change. This location was super friendly and clean and offered cute seasonal flavors along with the originals ! Delicious and glad I went!

I haven’t been exposed to much Italian ice in my life, and when people describe it like shaved ice i just never feel in the mood. That being said, I feel like the consistency of the Italian ice at Rita’s is almost a mix between shaved ice and gelato/icy sherbet, and Im for it
This spot is in a prime location right across from the beach at Galveston. On a nice sunny day walk on over to Rita’s for a cool, refreshing, and delicious treat
The interior is clean. It did have an older almost diner vibe. Or maybe more like like a beachy Dairy Queen, but more vibrant, and not depressing. There’s both interior and exterior seating to choose from
Their core competencies are Italian ice and custard, and there’s plenty of varieties of both. They have a menu, and there’s also plenty of offerings advertised on the walls of the interior
The staff were friendly, the service was quick and solid. I also think their offerings are fairly affordable
Some tips:
There isn’t much in the way of parking, but we snagged a spot near Doc Holidays (next door). I would recommend the Gelati as it’s a combination of custard and Italian ice. There’s both sugars at the bottom and top. We got the mango gelati, and it was the perfect blend of creamy sweet with refreshing mango. As I mentioned, the beach is just across the way, so, take your treat to go and walk along the beach. But eat quick before it melts!

Great place to stop with the family or for kids. I didn’t love the ice cream (Custard) but everyone else did. I am a little picky with my food and thought I’d explore a little but too creamy for me. There was only one lady taking orders and as a cashier so the line was super long but all in all, everyone enjoyed the stop and the yummy treat.
