Each time I’ve come here with a big order for my co workers and I, every staff member is helpful, patient, and incredibly fast! I’ve come to order for all of us 3-4 times now and no matter which employee is there our order is perfect and made with a smile. Their Gelati’s are good they have a amazing soft serve and average Italian ice however what makes me give Rita’s 3 stars is their prices 6+ dollars for a Gelati it might be good but it is not that good. So because of this I would much rather stop at a typical family owned snowball shop.

It’s Rita’s, same custard and ice as any of their locations. For flavored water, it is pricey, but it’s good.
Parking here is bad. There are only a few spots back behind the building. A lot of people park next door in the DD lot. There is no seating at this location either. You’ll often see families and sports teams sitting on the little grass area or an the curb of the dental office.
This store is usually busy, expect to stand in line for awhile. Counters get very messy and sticky too, so watch what you lay on them.
Like most Rita’s, when you order, make sure you tell them if you want a lid.
Don’t forget to give them your loyalty # to earn free stuff!

I went to this location around 4pm on a Saturday. Service was horrible. A young lady came to the window and just stood there, no greetings. I then placed my order for a gelati. The ice cream was spoiled and had a funny taste. My stomach is still doing turns from that spoiled ice cream.

This place use to be ok but I just left with my family and let me tell you , the( WG) here today 08-10-23 at 6:40 was very rude and racist . When we got up there to order her demeanor changed she made the ices with a snotty attitude, and really got upset that I used a free ICE bar code . This turkey dropped all the change in my husband hand like she was scared of touching him because of his skin color . DON’T WORK AT A PLACE LIKE THIS IF YOU DON’T LIKE OTHER RACES. … PS we usually leave $10-$15 tip but not today get rid of the trash customer service (WG) and maybe . My Children love Rita’s! This location is great and they have delicious treats. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Expect a line, as with any other Rita’s, especially during hot days/peak times.

My husband and I went there the other weekend and to our surprise, service was way below subpar, super slow, understaffed and the place was dirty. The girl serving us rolled her eyes and loudly sighed everytime a new customer had walked in. My husband had asked for a brownie sandwich and she did not seemed pleased when she heard that order. The girl had stared at him with this annoyed looked on his face for at least 10 seconds before continuing with our order. She had come back and told us there were no more brownies, but did not offer us an alternative selection. She was rude and unpleasant. I had worked here years ago and this type of service was never something the previous owner would have stood for or allowed. Ever since this location has been under new management the service has declined.

This place is awful. I originally went to the Rita’s on Joppa Road but they were packed and had a very long line so I went to the Perry Hall location instead. I bought 2 large gelattis: one cotton candy and the other cheesecake, started to eat them with my son and I noticed the cheesecake had no flavor, just tasted like ice. I chalked it up to maybe it was intentionally not made to be sweet since I never ordered that flavor before. Just made a mental note to not order it again, no big deal. My son ate a few spoons and said I can’t finish this. It has no flavor. It just tastes like ice. I said yeah, mine too and asked to taste his and sure enough it also had no flavor. I went to return them both as we hardly touched them and was told that they ran out of the cotton candy flavor. I asked if we could just exchange for 2 different flavors and was told I’d have to pay for 2 more gelattis! I said are you serious and told them that was horrible customer service and asked to speak with a manager when a teenager appeared and annoyingly made 2 smalls for me. This was only after I said “now I understand why this place doesn’t have any business and the one on Joppa Road does.” I will never again give my business to this location.
