I love your frozen custard and was pleasantly surprised to find your shop open after other Rita’s in my area closed for the season. However, your new policy of not accepting cash has driven me back to Dairy Queen. I’m just not using my credit card to pay for an ice cream cone. Bye.

Walked in while they doing closing half an hour before closing time. I asked if they are closed he said no not yet but there were not alot of flavors. then a short young black girl walks in from the back and says with an attitude “We’re Closed” and then the young guy looks at her and she say “WHAT ? unless your helping them and preparing what they order” So I turned around and started walking out because to be attended with that attitude no thank you. Now I understand all the bad reviews I’ve read on here. Crazy because it was my first time coming to a Ritas. With that customer service who would want to come back.

I usually have better service at the Rita’s in Maryland City but service today was horrible and met with so much disrespect from Olivia. Normally when I visit I get better service and my purchases looks better. I ordered a Gelati with custard and when she made it there was only a little custard given on top. When I requested more custard she refused and went back and forth with me on what was the appropriate amount. So then I asked for a little sprinkles on top and she told me that was a $1.50 extra.. Smdh I will not patronize at this Rita’s any longer… I’m trying to figure out what I paid $8 for.. Thank goodness the Sweetfrog in the same shopping center!

Thank you for your timely response. I updater the photo and added others for a comparison to what I am use to receiving. The additional photos is how the Gelati is served in other establishments which I will patronize with moving forward. I’ve been to your establishment 3 times this week and twice last week and had no problem with other staff and service other than running low on flavors but it was the same young lady taking my order and another fixing it each time but it Olivia who was very rude and would benefit from some customer service training.

The workers can be kind of rude unprovoked on multiple occasions:/ so that sucks. I think the hiring manager needs to reassess their hiring process. Also the website doesn’t have flavors listed and says “call for today’s flavors” but when you call no one answers.

I was hesitant to try this place due to the terrible reviews, but we seriously lack ice cream options in the area on uber eats so I pulled the trigger.
The peanut butter and cake concrete mixers were both fantastic. Super flavorful. My only complaint is that the serving was somewhat small relative to the cost in a smallish paper cup. Overall delicious and I’ll definitely order again.

I love the fact that this location is open all year round . The service is always good and theirs never a long wait . The place is always clean and quiet . My favorite is a peach gelati with vanilla custards … parking is a little right but available .

I just wanted to start off saying, l’ve been coming to this Rita’s with my family since the day it opened, what once was an AMAZING establishment, to getting to know the owner (Julie) I’m not sure if she’s still the owner I could be wrong, to now being met with some of the most unwelcoming, unpleasant attitudes. I came to Rita’s about 1 1/2 weeks ago with my partner walked in the door, no greeting, we pretty much had to ask to be serviced , I ordered a blendini , I could tell the employee making it was a bit irritated, she then made my blendini put it on the counter and then walked to the back , I noticed when I received it , it was hardly blended and there was still chunks of ice in it , I was a tad irritated but just figured it was a bad day cool. My partner then comes back today 8/6/25 and ordered a simple custard , not only is Rita’s pretty expensive I get it it’s a business but the portion in comparison to what it used to be to now ? Is extremely telling , the level of care Rita’s used to give as opposed to now ? It’s a complete 180°, the unpleasant and unwelcoming behavior is enough but we still tried to give the benefit of the doubt but I can honestly say the customer service has completely depleted and it’s honestly disheartening, what once was an amazing establishment that my family and I used to come to WEEKLY , to now feeling like a burden and unwelcome into a place people spend their hard earned money , I’ve tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt in hopes to hold onto the memories cherished here but it’s now a place I will honestly no longer give my money to. I do still wish this establishment the best of luck and I do hope they can give their employees a lesson on proper customer service , this was once such an amazing establishment and I hope they can one day regain that title.

Terrible customer service at this location today. I walked in and was not greeted by anyone. When I approached the register and asked the young Black girl about tasting a flavor, she responded with an attitude and snapped, telling me the flavors were listed on the board—then continued texting and scrolling on her phone, completely dismissive.
This is the only location in Laurel where I’ve consistently experienced poor customer service. It’s unfortunate that employees are hired without proper customer service training or professionalism. It reflects badly on your brand and leaves customers feeling unvalued.

Not properly managed at all. The employees are all children who do not know what they’re doing and there never seems to be any kind of supervision on site. I requested a refund because I was told they didn’t have the ingredients after already taking my order and no one on site knew how to process the refund. I waited for several minutes waiting for the manager to respond to their call/text on how to process the refund. Hire experienced employees or provide supervision for the younger workers.

I walked in yesterday there were 2 employees behind the counter but neither acknowledged I was there for about 3 or 4 minutes. When the female employee finally came to take my order she made me repeat the order 3 times and rolled her eyes after I paid (was I not supposed to pay?) when I received my peanut butter toffee concrete it was as if she had spread the concrete all along the inside of the cup but literally a hole down the center. I could see the bottom of the cup. I won’t be going back, there was no reason for all that the store wasn’t busy, I wasn’t rude to anyone, if you hate your job don’t work there.
