I decided I wanted a treat on a rainy night so I drove on over to this location, knowing it’d have minimal to no line. I knew what I wanted for the most part immediately but had a very hard time finding the toppings menu. They used to be larger and listed on the menu overhead, but they’re now super small on the daily ice flavor sign on the ground now. It took me a good 5 mins while waiting to find it.
The worker was pretty attentive to the 2 orders ahead of mine and when it came my turn, I walked up to the window and patiently waited for them to get off their cell phone. I asked for 2 items. One of them being a a twist sundae with hot fudge and peanuts. I received the twist, fudge and peanuts, but no whipped cream or cherry. And then when I asked for a lid, the worker huffed at me and made a face as if I was inconveniencing them. I didn’t even complain about the no whip or cherry, knowing I needed a lid anyway. But if I’m paying for an item; it’d be nice to either get what I ask for as advertised, or at least not get resistance upon a small request at the the end of my purchase, for something as small as a lid.

My husband and I came to the Holland Rita’s location at 8:30pm. When we arrived, all the windows were closed despite the open sign being lit up.
An employee was mixing some water ice with AirPods in. She turned her head and made eye contact with me and did not seek to help us with our order. 3 minutes have gone by and she still has not walked up to the window and a line is beginning to build. Finally, after 5 minutes I knock on the window and she reluctantly turns around to help us. Another employee comes around the corner that was in the back. When she came to the window I asked for a sample of the cookies and cream water ice and she says they are out of that flavor – then why is it still on the very easy to update magnetic board? I then ordered a frozen coffee as I had a free offer for one on the Rita’s app. My husband ordered a water ice which was melted at the top. When she rang us up she scanned my app and said “your offer for the frozen coffee isn’t working.” I said “okay, try my husband’s app, he has the offer too.” She scans his app and that also doesn’t work and she just stares at us and tells me my total is $9. At this point I was done – how about offering a solution to the problem or calling someone else over? Then she says “this was happening last week too.” Okay – then either fix it or promo out my item since I clearly have an offer that you can see with your own eyes! Won’t be coming back to the Holland Rita’s anytime soon.

Very good place, with custard always fresh, and a great selection of water ices. A friendly, and calm atmosphere. Great place to go to any time, to chill with friends.

After seeing the flyer making a big deal about this location opening February 1st, my son and I decided to go. We arrived an hour before closing and they had their shades pulled shut. The two young employees saw me standing there and told me they are closing early “cause they didn’t have many customers” (even though two other customers pulled up as I was getting in my car). I understand this…but maybe don’t close early the same day a flyer is advertising the store is opening February 1st and hours are until 9pm.

I was charged a dollar more than the price on the menu board for a concrete. I asked the kid waiting on me if it was because I asked for 2 mix ins. He said no. I told him what it said on the board above me and looked at me blankly. Said it was what the pice is in his register. If the prices have gone up the menu should be updated and the help should at least apologize for the error and seem interested in correcting it.

I arrived 30 minutes before closing and to my surprise Rita’s was closed! I don’t know what was scarier the fact that they were closed at this time or the fact the custard comes from a bag. I went a week ago with a friend and he ordered a large cotton candy and they gave him a small, I feel like he was being fat shamed. I was in utter shock. Grow up it’s 2023!

On a hot and humid day, nothing beats a nice cold dessert! Rita’s had plenty of options to choose from (each very good), and a few seasonal options that were unique. The cashier was very friendly and answered the questions that I had. The gelati I ordered definitely cooled me down on a humid summer’s night!

They had 4 of the worst flavors upon opening, custard not ready and no one was wearing gloves or a mask. I get the flavors and not being fully ready ready but the gloves and mask is unacceptable. Would avoid till after pandemic or just not go at all, franchise owner who seemed there seemed totally out of it not ready on sunny weekend to serve people water ice.

My wife had a awkward experience with the cashier there today, as my wife was stepping up to the cashier, the cashier immediately took a few steps back to take her order and also threw back her change after the cash transaction. Please teach your staff members about racial awareness.
