I like supporting this local neighborhood Rita’s. The teens are always friendly. Prices are reasonable. There is usually enough parking. Has an outside area to sit on the bench and enjoy. I will say that the custard is definitely a satisfying sweet treat BUT…usually made sloppy and unappealing to the eye.

Second time here within 2 weeks and both times I find a hole in the center of the serving. It’s pricey ($5) anyways and the ice cream purchased doesn’t even extend above the rim and then you find a hole in the center!!

Great ice cream! We also ordered some lemon Italian ice. Not as flavorful as real Italian “granita”, but still pretty good. The one thing that we found disappointing was the order of the 5-layer gelato; we figured the lady serving us would keep the lemon Italian ice apart from the chocolate custard so as to not taste lemon in the chocolate, and she did the opposite. Make sure you make it clear how you want your Italian ice and custard layered before ordering if you want them separated instead of mixed.

I didn’t give any notice and I randomly showed up to buy 4 gallons of ice cream and they were very accommodating and helped me out very much and we very much appreciate it. Easy parking!

So when I tell you I was disappointed. Where are the real large ritas cup. They gave me a fake cup and said it was a large. I am a long time customer I know what the large cup look like. This is not a large. I will never return here again.

Would like to see them add a better variety of Italian Ice options other than fruity flavors…more taste profiles, including more mixed chocolate options.
Custards and Toppings are great. Parking lot needs better lighting.

Everyone was very nice and polite. They also explained what they had and how it tasted and let us tasted a few we was interested in getting. Very clean and the employees were very helpful. We will be going back there. You have a customer for life. My grandson loves Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard. And if my grandson loves both of them well lets just say we love their italian ice and custard and all their flavors as well. We are life time customers. Again all their employees were amazingly very nice and polite and very helpful as well. Thank you to the employees of Rita’s in millvale, your all amazing.

Fast and friendly service, the lady taking my order used a white board to make sure she got it all and her handwriting is the best I’ve ever seen. Completely irrelevant from the actual service which was fantastic, but worth mentioning.
