It didn’t hit me until this time how high the prices are for Rita’s.

$5 for a small vanilla custard? Yikes! Don’t get me totally wrong here – yes, we’re paying for a brand name and yes, it’s surely high quality, so I do understand. Plus you have to account for labor, but at the same time, it’s still not all THAT great especially given the portion size. This was the last time I’ve been to Rita’s and probably will be for a while – not so much worth it anymore.

If you’re going to pay that much for ice cream and enjoy a fun family experience while you’re at it, you may be better off looking into other more localized operations such as the wonderful Bruster’s and Tasty Kreme (consumers beware – they only take cash but the Rite Aid next door does have an ATM if that helps).

My wife and I have never been to a Rita’s before and we sure will be coming back! We went earlier during the day around noon and we had no clue what we were looking at. There were so many flavors, which is also another bonus due to the sugar free options as well! The worker, I believe her name was Ava or something along those lines, walked us through the process of ordering and what flavors/products were the most popular. We asked the poor girl for so many samples but she kept serving us with a smile! She asked us questions like where we were coming from and how we were enjoying our time in the Pittsburgh area. She even gave us recommendations for things to do! It was a wonderful experience and it made my wife’s and I day. Great job!

I’d give a 5-star review to the one girl employee with circular glasses. She was kicking butt taking all of our orders while the other employees stood around. Then, when we asked at a separate window for a tester of another flavor, we got yelled at by an employee (pretty sure her name was Paige or Kelly). She said we needed to stay at one window and while she wasn’t doing a thing to help us shoutout to the hard worker who did take care of us.

When they are outa cups but not one of your favorite flavors! I just wish there was grape instead of all the birthday cake, brownie, type food flavors!

Everyone is so friendly and even if you go every day they say welcome to Rita’s with a smile and never rushed no matter how long the line is, which clears so efficiently to get to perfect sweet treat each time! Obsessed.

The staff were very rude. When we ordered our concrete, the worker said “ugh I don’t like making concretes.” She gave us a face of disgust. It was not made to the satisfaction that we have had in the past.

There are a few Rita’s within a couple of miles of me, but this location, hands down, is the BEST! I got tired of the other 2 Rita’s near me constantly being out of all of the 3 flavors I love. So even though this Rita’s is farthest from me, I’m going there no matter what.
And the young woman who took care of my large order was the most pleasant, smiling, and friendliest person EVER! She was professional but exceptionally helpful with me. I called ahead to make sure they had at least 1 of my favorites,,, they had ALL 3!! I’m not frequenting another Rita’s ever.. they have my business from now on.

I went here on a Friday at 9:30 pm and they were closed. While their sign right in front says “now open 12-10!”. Don’t bother coming after 9 pm I guess because they’re not consistent.

Love Rita Ice. Sometimes the summer hires are not too customer service oriented. However, that is the exception and not the norm. Lots of parking, but limited outdoor seating.

They will have some staple or constant favors but throw in new favors to mix it up. I personally like to sample the new favors then buy which ones my taste buds adore. This happens for both the custards and ice.

There is also deals days based both on the day of the week and alo some deals on the quantity of the product you buy. One such deals was that you’d get a soft side cooler for the ice if you buy five quarters at one time.

However, I want to also highlight the rewards cards! You get one stamp of every single purchase. And once the card is all stamped you get to pick one free item. Anything is available except for the quarter of ice. Also know that the cards never expires.
