I love going to Rita’s for their Gelati dessert. It’s always delicious and there are always great choices for flavors! The service is excellent, even when it’s slow due to staffing or being busy. My family enjoys many of their offerings, especially the strawberry shortcake concrete and the reeses peanut butter choices. Their current new features of pumpkin pie is delicious as well, and this particular location allowed a free sample of the flavor. The seating area is small and well shaded, a great place to relax and enjoy treats while watching squirrels throw their nuts at you angrily for invading their territory.

Our family loves Rita’s! Staff is always friendly at this location. We had an issue with a DoorDash order tonight and when I called to see if an item in our order was left behind, the manager & staff went above and beyond to make sure we got what was missing. Would definitely recommend for a sweet treat that isn’t your everyday ice cream.

Been coming to this Rita’s location since I was a kid and I’ve grown to love it more as I got older. The staff and Roseann are always so kind and attentive. I run there every time Cookies and cream ice and banana ice pop up on the flavor list online lol

They charge as they please. Got the skittles water ice and the advertisement literally says it includes the topping. But they said the topping is extra. Then I got the mudslide. Same thing, they tried to tell me some of the toppings are extra. This place is a joke. Never going back. They are charging for toppings that are supposed to be included.

I normally would not post something like this but I am shocked over the interaction I had from the manager/Owner of the Ritas in Northfield. My husband went out to get us and our baby ice cream as an end of summer treat. Immediately after one taste of the ice cream, we could tell something was off. The ice cream was obviously sour and had a very odd taste and smell to it. I returned to Rita’s with the intention to just let them know in case someone said something and to get a refund. I first spoke to an employee who then directed me to the manager/owner. I explained the situation and she very rudely told me there was no chance the ice cream is sour or has any odd taste to it. I told her that was fine but I would like a refund. She then insisted my husband must have left the ice cream in the car too long and that it had melted and that’s why it tasted sour. I explained to her we live right down the road. She then wanted me to look at the packaging of the ice cream to check the expiration date because she states it is delivered fresh everyday. I tell her that won’t be necessary I would just like a refund and she can trash our ice cream. I was issued the refund and she then insisted on getting one more jab in stating again my husband obviously left the ice cream in the car for way too long.
This interaction especially as a business owner was beyond inappropriate. Mistakes happen and that’s totally okay. I just wanted a refund without making my husband and I feel stupid. My one year old baby was about to eat that ice cream. I don’t want that to be someone else’s child.
