I don’t know why but I haven’t been to Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard in such a long time; it’s in my town too. Everything I’ve had over the years has always tasted fantastic. I’ll come around a lot more, it is great. Stopped by recently for a Pop Rocket Ice with the 5-layer Gelati; maybe the flavor was out with the pop rockets. The 5-layer was still delicious with the grape.

We visited Rita’s yesterday in North Arlington for the first time, and unfortunately it will also be our last. My 4-year-old needed to use the restroom, and despite us being paying customers, the staff at the counter refused to let him. They explained it was for employees only. While I can understand having a policy, I feel exceptions should be made in certain situations especially when it comes to young children.

We have visited many different ritas locations, but this one particularly is not the best one. We order 5 different items. The Italian ices tasted like water down ice flavor, gelatis tasted like butter, and nothing had the right amount of flavor. The customer service was great, but the need to work on their flavors and frozen custard.

My favorite ice cream ever! But I wanted to really shout out the service. We come here soo often, but tonight, Saturday 5/6/23, we came and the young lady was working alone. She had a super long line the entire time that just kept growing and she was so sweet and fast and still friendly even though she was swamped. You rock! 🙂
