We went here after visiting Veedels Advent at the Chlodwigplatz. On the walk up there is a nice Irish bar called the John Barleycorn. At Toscanini, It was a Monday night but soon got very busy. Everything was excellent. Lovely bruschetta to start. I had the lamb in red wine which was stunning only let down by too much veg but I am not a veg person. Red wine sauce I could have eaten a bowl of with just some bread. I had been hoping that the rosemary potatoes were roasted but were just boiled potatoes. My other half had a seafood pasta dish which was good. Great wine selection. The pizzas looked really good and are cooked in proper wood fired oven. Staff were welcoming and attentive as needed.

Definitely 5* and this is the best Italian restaurant in Cologne, five star goes to service, customer care, sanitary clean and high quality food with best Pizzas, salads tiramisu and of course pannacota . Small reminder- they don’t accept card payment. So make sure to have a cash available.

Just like the reviews, Toscanini is a restaurant with great value! The people were super friendly and the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere. All in all we had a great time! I’d recommend making a reservation though since it does get busy and all the tables were full. Highly recommend ordering the Insalata do Capra… the goat cheese wrapped in phyllo pastry was heavenly! Pizzas were also great!

I hope the owner reads this. It was my wife’s birthday today and we were passing through your town. On the internet read reviews that this is a good place. I tried to make a reservation through the website and by number but could not. When I arrived at the place I was met by David. I explained the situation, he found us a table for dinner. Every time I get into strange situations, the universe connects me to the best people on earth. This time it was David. If you’re reading this, thank you my friend for this beautiful day, and a gift for my wife. One person like you replaces 40 others. Just amazing. They treat you very, very well. The food is exquisite. The prices are fine. They cater omnivores and vegans alike. The drinks were OK. It can be a little hot if you’re sitting next to the oven, so pay attention to that if you’re going in the summer. I’ve heard it can be loud since it’s a bit crowded, but to me the noise levels were perfectly normal. We’re looking forward to visiting again.

A recommendation on Google came with a high eating and this lovely place lived up to it. We ordered a pizza and a panacotta for takeaway. Just perfect on both. The best I’ve had in ages.
And while we waited for our food we were offered our choice of a drink on the house- Seriously good Espresso and a nice and frosty glass of Kölsch!
