Tiramisu we’re proud that a small place with outdoor patio in a hustle and bustle of downtown financial district had such an immense history, an intimate and elegant dining room is great for any occasion. We haven’t spent money on advertising or been recommended by famous culinary critics. We’ve become the best Italian restaurant in San Francisco downtown by listening to our repeat clients and striving to constantly improve. perhaps we believe that some things are best done the old way.

This AMAZING Italian Trattoria will blow u away with its authentic (non-tourist) experience in an outdoor SF alley! It’s truly an Original that’s like u have been transported to the streets of Naples. We ❤️ LOVED the freshly made fettuccine and layers of pasta which melted as we savored every bite. Hey we went for desert (it was AWESOME) but the dinner delivers one if the best Italian experiences that u didn’t realize existed. Bellissimo!!

I’ll start off by saying the food was very good! We originally made a reservation for outside and when we arrived, we were sat inside. Usually it wouldn’t have bothered us too much except we were sat to an extremely loud group which made it hard to talk to the person right across from you. We asked if we could move the outside and thankfully they moved us but seemed very irritated. The reason I’m giving 3 stars is our server was not very friendly and the overall experience was not what we were hoping but at least the food was delicious! I’m not sure I would come back though

We went to dinner at Cafe Tiramisu on New Year’s Eve (2025/26). It was a rainy evening, so we sat inside. Here is my glowing review of the restaurant.
Service:
The service was excellent. We were seated right away (we had reservations). Our waiter’s name was Tony, aka Toto. He was fun, relaxed, attentive, and knowledgeable.
Atmosphere:
This is a small home-like restaurant. The atmosphere was authentic, clean, friendly, and welcoming.
Food:
The food is Italian Cuisine. The food was superbly delicious , on-time, and hot. I couldn’t be more impressed than I was that night.
I do not have the words to express the great qualities of each aspect of this restaurant! Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.

The restaurant had a private party the night we went that had rented the whole place but they still sat us outside and were very attentive.
The pasta was fresh, the portions were perfect and the service was excellent. The owner came and chatted and the other servers also made time to check in. The suggestion for the wine paired well with what we ordered.
Would for sure go back next time we’re in town and recommend.

Had a quiet dinner at this charming restaurant tucked away down an alley in downtown SF. It’s a great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle.
The waitstaff was fabulous- fast, attentive and friendly. The owner was welcoming and friendly. 5 stars for ambiance.
The wine was also great and the bar tender / sommelier knowledgeable on the wines offered on menu. 5 stars.
Finally, the food was good but not great.
Would absolutely eat there again but the food didn’t knock my socks off.

“I visited Tira Misu on a rainy Tuesday evening around 8 PM, specifically to sample their namesake dessert. Having traveled to over 17 countries and tried tiramisu across the globe, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Despite the restaurant being less than half full, the owner informed us that because we only wanted dessert, we could not be seated and had to take our order to go. This lack of hospitality was a sharp contrast to the welcoming service I’ve experienced worldwide. While the tiramisu itself was delicious, the presentation left much to be desired. Based on the service alone, I would not recommend this place

My wife & I walked to this restaurant from our hotel. We had Piccolo Cioppino and Pappardelle with shrimp. It was fanatic dishes to end our night! Very fresh and vibrant flavors. The dessert was very delicious as well. Tiramisu was delicate and the vanilla ice cream that isn’t your normal ice cream! Very light texture and melts in your mouth almost. Peter, the owner of the restaurant, was very warm, attentive and friendly.
