High End Prices but Excellent Food and Service. We had dinner and found everything to be well prepared. I am not going to single out individual items because everything was exccellent. Our server, Robbie, was welcoming, knowledgeable and effient. He happily went out of his way to ensure we had a perfect experience. I noticed that they had a wine expert that counseled on wine tableside.; but because we do not drink, we did not use his service. The restaurant had many design features to minimize noise and provide a comfortable dining experience consistent with a fine dining restaurant. The cost of the dinner was high $169.45 before gratuity, but worth it!

Four of us went and everyone loved their meal. Eggplant Lasagna, Osso Buco, Mushroom Risotto, and my FAV the Cioppino which was seasoned perfectly had large fresh shrimp, tasty large scallops, mussels, and a small 1/2 lobster tall. We really liked meeting Gina Paoletti who as a third generation family member is the director of operations.

Has gone down a little since our last visit in Oct 22. Of course it is the hight of summer now. My Lasagna was average at best. The wife’s stuffed cannelloni was fantastic. The staff is friendly and service good.

The waiter service was great. The management service was absolutely rude. We were 2 females dining were immediately told upon arrival that they had a reservation at 6:45. We had ate our dinner and had ordered our 3rd course of dessert and then was told we had to leave our table and could finish our meal at the bar because the 6:45 reservation was waiting for their table. Upon entering the bar we were faced with 3 people informing us that we could not finish our meal at the bar because it was for dinner only. We said we would go back to our table to finish our meal, where we were met with directing back to the bar and finally after a chaos we were finally allowed to sit at the bar and finish our meal.

As other reviewers have suggested, book your reservation at Paoletti’s, and then plan your time in Highlands around it. My spouse and I had an early seating, and the restaurant was already quite full by 5:30. The atmosphere never felt rushed, however. The dining room hummed with the competent murmur of the amazingly professional staff. The maitre de maison circulated through, chatting with guests, catching up with regulars, and sharing information about the restaurant’s history with first-timers like us.
