After a full day of sightseeing in Venice, we stumbled upon a gem of a restaurant in the San Polo area. The location is absolutely stunning—right off one of the main canals, with gondolas and gondoliers gliding by as you dine.
Our server, Tesoro, was outstanding. He walked us through the menu, highlighted the specials, and made us feel so welcome—truly the perfect host for our meal.
We ordered a variety of dishes: lobster pasta, spaghetti with truffle butter, fresh salad, and two pizzas (one vegetarian and one topped with ham). Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared.
If you have time, definitely stay for dessert—the views make it even more special. With gondola rides starting nearby, it’s the perfect spot to soak in the charm of Venice while enjoying an excellent meal.

….I visited the restaurant on five occasions during my trip… was only having drinks at the restaurant… but great location and comfortable surroundings… service was excellent… staff were friendly and polite…. and got some free meatballs and Limoncello…. drinks were on the expensive side, but that’s expected sitting on the Grand Canal, next to the Rialto bridge…

To be honest , the food (pizza, lasagna ) are quite good , but since the place is by the canal and Rialto bridge, you can’t expect a reasonable price!

We dined here on 31 December 2025. The food was nothing special, but the billing behaviour was outrageous.
A 16% service charge was already added. Despite this, the receipt then suggested an extra 20% tip (“proposte con mance”), while simultaneously stating in English “TIPS IS NOT INCLUDED”. The bill also showed different totals for card and cash payments, with no clear or honest explanation.
This setup is clearly designed to confuse, and it targets tourists and non-Italian speakers. High prices in Venice are normal — misleading and manipulative charging is not.
This experience felt deliberately deceptive. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant and checking your bill very carefully if you do go.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this restaurant. I ordered only two 0.5 L beers, but on the bill they were written as two 1 L beers, and with service and a suggested tip (not chosen by me) I ended up paying 44 euros just for them.
Such a practice is unacceptable and explains why the restaurant only has 3 stars.
For comparison, later the same evening, at another place, with 50 euros two people ate and drank.

If you want a horrible experience when visiting Venice, I highly recommend going to this restaurant, the waiter recommended a special of the day, which was lobster with pasta, thinking it would be pasta mixed with lobster meat, my husband has the salmon, the food was edible, (I don’t think the lobster was very fresh as I was violently ill that night). We then had to barter over the bill, with the waiter who also requested a tip for his bad service. Not a very pleasant experience. You can tell that they dislike tourists in Venice, which is a shame, would not recommend in any shape or form eating at this restaurant.

VERY EXPENSIVE !! We had two glasses of wine, which is €11 each, average price for Venice so that’s ok, BUT the bill came at €33 !! So we paid €11 in charges on top, basically another glass of wine! That’s ridiculous. The waiter even had the guts to ask if we want to round it up to €40 with tip! Ripping customers off! Have been to many other locations in Venice and never got charged this much!

The truffle pasta and pesto pasta were absolutely fantastic! Both dishes were rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. The seafood platter and burrata salad were also delicious, fresh, and well-presented. The view is absolutely stunning, and the Aperol is the best I’ve ever had. Overall, a wonderful dining experience!

The food was expensive but was alright (with the exception of the Mediterranean salad, but that could have been a misunderstanding on my part). Service was good. Service charge and live music fee (from 8pm) were clearly printed on every page of the menu so not sure why people were surprised by these. 20% tip was suggested but I just said no and there was no fuss. Nice view of the canal. Clean toilets.

We asked to try a red wine and the person helping us was kind enough to take me to the cellar to show me the cabernet red wine he suggested. we told him we wanted a glass of wine but He then brought a whole bottle, filled a decanter with the bottle without disclosing its value and proceeded to served us a delicious wine. The issue was that he the disclosed the fact that he bottle was 300 EUR Then returning to say it was 380 EUR But yo our surprise after many surprised the bill showed the bottle as being 400 EUR. So this is a great please but a tourist trap! So, YOU DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all !!
